Apricot Brandy Pound Cake I

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2012
This is my new go-to recipe. Easy to make, smells delish, looks great out of the pan and tastes wonderful. Have made it several times and not a crumb left over! I made a glaze of Powdered Sugar, a dash of lemon extract, almond extract (or vanilla), and either the apricot nectur or apricot brandy. Drizzled over the cake - YUMMO!!!

Cranberry Chicken II

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2013
Made this tonight - loved it and my 15 year old picky eater had seconds! Only had one envelope of soup mix so added dried minced onions and 3 cubes beef bullion, crushed with another 1/2 C of french dressing. LOVED IT! This is on the keeper list.

Have been using this for several years! Wonderful basic scone recipe which can be customized. My family likes it with chocolate chips, cherries, blueberries, currants.

Grilled Pork Chops with Fresh Nectarine Salsa

Reviewed: May 21, 2012
LOVE LOVE LOVE this. Have made it several times to take to homebound friends - all with great reviews. Finally made it for the family - oh my. Only added a bit cayanne pepper to the salsa, other than that it's great! Definately a keeper

French Silk Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2012
This is a wonderful chocolatey pie. Followed others suggestions and reduced the sugar to 3/4 Cup and increased the chocolate to 5 oz total. Used a frozen pie crust as my homemade ones don't turn out well. Definately fill the pie crusts immediately after mixing as the filling will harden in the container you store it in and is unusable. Have made this twice now - both times there was nothing left. Hope I get to taste the next one!! Thanks for the recipe.

Peanut Butter Fruit Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2012
Fabulous! Have made this several times - always to rave reviews! I use the chuncky peanut butter (Kroger Honey & Roasted Peanut Butter is the best) and add more cinnamon to taste and use low fat Cool Whip. Always a winner.

Chocolate Crackled Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2011
Delicious Cookies! Made out of despiration because I couldn't find my original recipe - and like this one better! Great chocolate taste, a little more effort than other recipes (rolling in 2 separate coatings) but well worth it. Had to make extra batches (they were to be Christmas gifts) because we couldn't stop eating them. Just because you can never have too much chocolate : ^ } : ^ } I threw in an additional 1/4 cup of chocolate chips but wouldn't do anything else to change or improve it. Definate keeper!

Make-Ahead Slow Cooker Beef Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2010
This is definately a keeper! Easy to make and the whole family loved it! I did flour and brown the meat on the stove, but don't see this as a needed step if it is cooked on low. The only wine on hand was a cabernet, so used it and it tasted great. Will definately make this for both home and church.

Easy Chicken Enchiladas

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
This is FANTASTIC! I used a can of Rotel, drained in place of the chilies, used a little more cheese just because you can never have enough cheese. The family loved it. This is definately a keeper!

Family loved it - and they don't like quiche. I used mild sausage and about 1/2 C more shredded cheese. Great with fruit salad for dinner on hot summer nites.

Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2011
OH MY - FABULOUS & YUMMY!!!!!! This is not only easy but wonderful. Used fat free cream cheese - no one could tell - didn't have mexican vanilla so used 2 tsp pure vanilla extract - AND, softened the butter too much in the microwave for the topping so mixed it with cinnamon & sugar anyway, brushed it over the top - tasted fantastic - definately a keeper.

Fast Creamy Tomato Penne

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2010
My Family loved this - even the picky 16 year old! The only adjustment I made was to add pesto to the sauce right before mixing with the pasta. I also used the leftover filling from dinner the previous nite - Beef & Bean Chimichangas! Yummy!

This is by far the best pumpkin cheesecake recipe ever. I used the gingersnap crust from another recipe on this site. No matter where I take this I am always asked for the recipe

Marinated Flat Iron Steak

Fabulous recipe! Followed the suggestion of less honey (2 T) and family doesn't like rosemary so substituted with Italian Seasoning. Turned out tender and flavorful. Picky eater son even had seconds! Definately a keeper.

This is the absolutely easiest cheeseball recipe ever. The only change I made to it was to add more chopped peppers. Warning - this is very addictive!
