Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2012
Perfect as is! Make extra sauce, my husband and kids loved this recipe, even my picky daughter who is singling out and despising all foods that are not from a drive thru, she asked me to make more. I will be making this a lot. Thanks!

Quick Yeast Rolls

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
I followed the recipe and I got muffin-y rolls. I thought it was way too liquidy but figured I would follow the recipe to the T. I will give it a try again. BUT I did follow the recipe exactly and was not super happy with my burnt muffin rolls.

PHILADELPHIA New York Cheesecake III

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2010
My cheesecake is horribly cracked in the middle!!! Like a huge Grand Canyon split going in several directions. What did I do wrong? I'm not blaming the recipe or giving it a bad review cause I know it can't be the recipe. Any big tips for this?

Bebop Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2010
I didn't have pork n beans on hand nor did I have bell peppers or bbq sauce, so I had to wing it and used red onion, kidney beans and a rough homemade bbq sauce. I used two large cans of kidney beans, drained. One 15 oz can of tomatoes, half a red onion, chopped, and five strips of bacon, diced. For the rough bbq sauce I made I used regular ketchup, brown sugar (plus a little extra brown sugar, plus molasses), and prepared mustard plus a few heavy shakes of dry mustard. I fried up the bacon and then sauteed the onion in the bacon fat and then added eveything else and threw it in the oven for forty five minutes. This is super delicious with buttermilk corn muffins! I can eat the whole batch myself, but state laws say I have to share with my husband and kids. ;)

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2010
I added crumbled crisp bacon, about five strips, and I also added the bacon grease with the butter. This was really good. I made them into muffins and my three kids (10, 6, 3) ate over a dozen of them and over a dozen mini muffins too. My husband got one.

Caramel Candies

Reviewed: May 16, 2010
Around 244 is going to be a nice soft caramel, 244 - 250 will be a caramel with good chew to it. Anything above that is going to start getting you into a hard crack division. DON'T GIVE UP or brand this recipe badly, try it a few times and you may get better results.

Apple Betty

Easy as pie! (pun) It's actually simpler and better than pie. Variation: 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white sugar. Bake for 60 minutes vs 45 minutes. This is my new favorite dessert.

Whoopie Pies V

Maybe adding some baking powder to the cookie mixture would help them be more cookie-ish and not so pancakey. =)

Whoopie Pies I

Substitution Suggestion! If you want to omit the raw egg whites, you can use a meringue powder as a substitute. (Wilton's) can be found in the baking section of many stores. Another option you could try is substituting the egg white with marshmallow creme. I just made these tonight and the "cakies" aren't really good by themselves, BUT when you put the filling in and put them together they are pretty delectable. I used a decorating tip and a pastry bag and it makes the sideview really pretty and added a little pro look. They are really good!
