About this Cook
I am a stay-at-home mom to 4 wonderful children and my best friend hubby.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake and my roots are in southern comfort food. But I am always looking to expand my tastes and try cooking different cuisines of many different cultures.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Thanksgiving and Christmas, I make pumpkin cake. It is a recipe that has been in my family for generations, and is one of my sister-in-law's favorites!
My cooking triumphs
Every meal is a triump, whether or not it turns out good. Just going outside your comfort zone and making something new is a triumph in and of itself.
My cooking tragedies
Tried to make an eggplant dish one night. I spent hours prepping and cooking. It was so horrible that we scrapped the whole meal and went out for pizza!

Salmon Patties III
Great salmon patty recipe! I substituted herbed stuffing for the bread crumbs, but otherwise made it exactly the same. Served it with a creamy dill sauce, texmati rice, and fresh fruit. My husband, who doesn't care for salmon, enjoyed the meal! Will definitely make again, next time with Old Bay instead of the italian seasonings.

Thai Cucumber Salad
Very nice and refreshing. A little sweeter than I expected, but they were very good!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles
This is my son's favorite cookie, and my first attempt to make a snickerdoodle. My cookies spread very little, so next time I will flatten them a little and make them bigger. Thanks for a great recipe!
