Sunday Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2005
I've never made rolls before and I'm usually a disaster with bread recipes. So I was worried about these rolls until the very end. They were fabulous. They looked great, they tasted great and I'm very happy. I can't wait to make these next week for Thanksgiving.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2007
What more can I say that hasn't already been said? These are wonderfully delicious, chewy (but not cake like) cookies. I used chocolate pudding mix because it's what I had and they were just awesome. I can't wait to try them with the vanilla pudding.

Corn Dogs

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2007
We made these for my daughter's birthday party and they were a big hit. The kids and parents loved them. We made them mini like some other people and used toothpicks. The hot dogs were dry and we had no problem with the batter. Make sure the oil isn't too hot or the corn dog will cook too quickly leaving the hot dog inside cool.

Grilled Chicken Adobo

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2007
This is really good. I cut the recipe in half to make 6 chicken thighs and I broiled it. I'd prefer a thicker sauce, but the chicken was really tender and flavorful. I make this all the time now.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2007
This is some of the best chicken ever. I poured all the sauce over the chicken, covered with foil and cooked for 1 1/2 hours at 350. Then I removed the foil and cooked for another 30 minutes. It takes longer but the sauce doubles and can be used over rice. The chicken is tender and juicy. I took it to a church potluck and it was gone in minutes. Even my picky pre-schooler likes it.

Warm Apple Buttermilk Custard Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2007
I only made half of the custard and it was just the right amount. I didn't end up using all the streusel topping because there was so much. This pie was just fantastic tasting. My whole family loved it and we will make it again and again.

Simple Scones

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2006
I didn't like these and I thought it was because they weren't good, but it turns out I just don't like scones!! I served these at a party and all the people that like scones, loved these. My husband loved them too. And they really were simple to make.

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2007
I Love chocolate chip cookies and was reluctant to put oatmeal into these but these were outrageously delicious! I like moist chewy cookies so I followed the suggestions of others and switched the amount of sugars (used 1/2 brown, 1/3 white) and the cookies came out soft and perfect. I made it twice - once with smooth peanut butter and once with chunky. Either way, these cookies are great. I shared them with co-workers and they were a huge hit. My only suggestion is the same as many others - double the batch!

Split Pea and Sausage Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2005
I personally don't like split pea soup but I made this for my husband who does. He loved it! Almost convinced me to try it! Thanks for the recipe, I'll definitely be making it again. Oh, and I used chicken broth instead of beef and left out the carrots.

Swedish Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2006
It wasn't a quick and easy recipe - the sauce took forever to thicken. But the end result was very good and my husband and kids loved it. I even liked it and I don't usually like meatballs.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2003
Fantastic, just exactly the way the recipe calls it. Loved it, loved it loved it. :) This is absolutely my favorite snack in the world. It's a pain to make and messy, so I don't do it often, but when I do make it, it's worth it!

Big Al's Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2007
I would have given this five stars but my husband wasn't too into it so I'm putting a family consensus. I followed the recipe using a real egg instead of substitute. I thought it was so delicious and I absolutely loved it - very nice flavor and good, juicy chicken. We are going to make it again on the 4th with chicken breasts - maybe my husband will like it better with white meat. Thanks for a great recipe.
