Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies II

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2008
Perfect for chocolate and cherry lovers. Extremely rich. My advice, make a double-batch and give some away, the recipients will love you for it.

Coconut Macaroons III

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2008
This is an idiot-proof recipe that produces delicious cookies. The recipe says it yields a dozen, but both times I've made it we've gotten about 30 cookies out of a batch. Very rich cookies, one or two will do it, so I'd rather have them a bit smaller. Wonderful addition to the cookie jar!

Classic Thanksgiving Dressing With Parsley, Sage and Thyme

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2007
For years I made dressing (we didn't stuff the turkey with it, but baked in a pan) the way my mom did. It was a thick soup-like consistency, poured into a pan and baked, and cut into squares. In fact, my mom used to call it 'glop' before it was baked. It tasted wonderful, but looked less than appealing. I made this for the first time this Thanksgiving, and though only a couple of people, including me, like sage dressing, they went back for more and commented on how good it was. This is now my official dressing recipe.

Fast, easy and delicious. My 11-year-old daughter loves fish, and this is her favorite.

Cake Mix Cookies VIII

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2007
I used 1 whole egg and 1 egg yolk, rather than two eggs, then eventually just kneaded this with my hands to mix well. I thought it was far too dry and didn't want dry cookies, so I took previous reviewers' advice and added some oil. I didn't measure, I just added a little at a time until the batter seemed moist enough. Also added about 1 tsp of vanilla. I did press the dough down just a little, not much, and 8 minutes precisely did the trick. You must let them cool on the pan, give them time to set. Quite a delicious, simply treat. They're soft and rich, just as expected.
