I used 1 whole egg and 1 egg yolk, rather than two eggs, then eventually just kneaded this with my hands to mix well. I thought it was far too dry and didn't want dry cookies, so I took previous reviewers' advice and added some oil. I didn't measure, I just added a little at a time until the batter seemed moist enough. Also added about 1 tsp of vanilla. I did press the dough down just a little, not much, and 8 minutes precisely did the trick. You must let them cool on the pan, give them time to set. Quite a delicious, simply treat. They're soft and rich, just as expected.
