Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2012
Wonderful chili, it's way overcomplicated with ingredients....but it all seems to work so I don't touch it. Also thumbs up to all frat boys trying different beer.....you missed the point and you can't taste the beer. LOL

Cold Tuna Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2010
I've made this about 5 times, excellent recipe. Try 2 large tomatoes or 3 small, your pushing the tomatoe limit past this. I don't like celery, so I skip that and substitue shells style pasta.....btw the salad is good without Italian dressing or tuna also. The tomatoes will get mushy after a couple of days, so eat fast--get ripe cruchy tomatoes.

It's Chili by George!!

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2010
This is a great chili. It's the kind of chili a man says "I've been cooking this chili for 40 years". But it's not the chili that says "I've been winning chili contest for 40 years". A very, very good chili that even the kids like, but it's not a unique tasting chili.

This Mac and Cheese haunts my dreams. It's hard to fathom going back to any instant mac and cheese.

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2010
I was born and raised in the deep south and big crust on cobblers is what it is all about. This recipe did a fine job of catching the essence of the southern peach cobbler. However, the grocery store did not have fresh peaches :( , so I had to use can peaches. It equates to about 4 cans(drain them really good). It was delicious and on par with what you would find in any mom and pop diner in the deep south. I can only imagine the fresh peaches.

Linda's Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2010
I think this lasagna rivals my mom's. Next time, I'll add 1 package (8oz) of cheese per layer instead. Fits perfect in the 13x9.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
If you boil the chicken mix in 2 cans of broth(instead of water), it yields about 3 cups of broth to pour in at the end for the sauce. That will almost double your sauce as others have said to do. Yes, add the seasonings also (be careful with poultry seasoning or it will overpower everything). Double the milk, chopped onion, salt, pepper, butter....MADE 2 COMPLETE PIES! left out celery seed

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
I was out of flour, so I subbed about half of the flour with yellow corn meal. The texture was firmer and had a hint of corn meal...we loved it! I also used vegetable oil instead of olive oil.
