Oven Roasted Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2010
Very yummy! Very easy too! My husband and I are on a lower carb diet and the Spenda was a nice touch. I used 1/2 regular Spenda and 1/2 Brown Sugar Splenda. We inhaled our meal. Also...this would be an AWESOME wing sauce!

Pan Fried Tilapia Sandwich

DELICIOUS!!!!! I can't picture myself ever eating a battered fish sandwich again. Loved the spicy "kick", the freshness of the tilapia and the "out of this world" salsa. YUM!

Creamy Baked Ziti

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2011
Ahhhh, it was so-so, i needed to put sauce on the table because it was not very saucy at all. It was still good, but not outstanding. You'll need to spruce it up to make it really taste like anything.

Jalapeno Popper Mushrooms

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2011
All Gone! I was lucky to get to taste one :) I had at least 3 people ask me for this recipe. This was a great appetizer and will definitely make it again. I used the HOT jalapenos in a jar (just used my Pampered Chef hand chopper) and they were just right. These would be a perfect app for a football gang and nice cold beers :)

Gob Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2011
For the life of me I can't figure why some folks did not like this recipe - it truly was Excellent! Moist and sweet, everything you'd want in a rich chocolate cake...It's even better the next day! Three very simple changes I made: #1)added 1/2 cup of light brown sugar...#2) used 3 tblspns of regular Hershey's Cocoa and when I ran out I used 3 tblspns of Dark Hershey's Cocoa...# 3) Make sure you realize the last 5 ingredients are for the author's icing...I make my own as follows: 1 stick of softened butter (salted), 1 stick of softened cream cheese (Philadelphia), and add powdered sugar to desired sweetness (approx. 1-2 cups) and you're done! I used a 13x9 rectangular non-stick pan and left it in there when iced and served (even decorated with Easter Sprinkles!...felt like a kid again). Great recipe, especially if you don't have any eggs handy. My hubby and guests asked for seconds! This recipe is definitely a keeper, would be a great birthday cake.

Dilly Chicken

Recently tried this recipe, I used three large boneless chicken breasts. My husband and I did NOT like this recipe - it basically tasted like boiled chicken with no taste.

Glazed Corned Beef

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2011
Delicious - there were NO leftovers, my husband went back for 3rds! This will be in my meal rotation for sure. The glaze added a sweetness to the saltiness of the corned beef, what better combination could you have with sweet & salty? :)

Nanna's Banana Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
This is the best banana bread recipe I've found on Allrecipes.com. I did not have any buttermilk but googled it for a substitution and found that you can make it in 5 minutes...1/2 tblspn of vinegar OR lemon juice, fill rest of liquid measuring cup with milk to reach the 1/2 cup line and let it sit for 5-10 minutes - WA LA that easy! I also used 1/2 cup of the chocolate chips which adds a little extra sweetness, so yummy! Thanks Sharon for this treasure!

Spicy Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
YUMMY! We inhaled this dish. I used a can of tomato soup instead of puree (didn't have), no jalapeno (didn't have), and included two (2) fresh minced garlic cloves (using my Pampered Chef garlic press) and cooked on very, very low for a few hours in a cast iron skillet. This was an easy dish to make, the house smelled great - I will definitely make again. The green peppers and onions were a very great combination with the chops.

Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2015
YUM! I used Kalua instead of bourbon as another poster did and had to bake the pie for almost 1-1/2hrs....sooooo good and rich! A small piece goes a long way, would be wonderful with vanilla ice cream! This is a keeper, will DEFINITELY make again!

Green Beans with Cherry Tomatoes

Perfect answer to a side dish, we always have green beans and this was a great diversion to a gourmet side that accompanied our meatloaf perfectly! Will definitely keep this in my rotation and share with my family. btw...used the recipe as a base and did not use as much sugar (almost 1 tsp, frozen cut green beans & fresh minced garlic using my Pampered Chef garlic press) - YUMMY!

Anna's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2011
PERFECT! I just made these, used with 1-1/2 cups of chips and 4oz of german chocolate cut up into chunks (didn't have enough chips and had to improvise). I baked at 350, be sure to take them out when the edges start to turn golden so the cookies stay chewy :)

Jalapeno Poppers of Champions

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2015
Awesome recipe...this was part of my "guinea pig" dinner...that's when I make new recipes for everyone w/o trying them myself, lol. As with previous posts I added a little jive to my cream cheese...i.e. Minced garlic, dried parsley and dash of salt & pepper, then chilled it while I de-seeded the peppers (WITH gloves) and used a half piece of bacon for each half pepper. Roasted on a rack at 375F for about 40 mins plus 4-5 mins under the broiler to crisp/brown the bacon. They were a hit! My hubby said if we didn't have company he'd have eaten the whole plate (btw I only used 10peppers and had just enough filling). Great lo-carb appetizer and really didn't take that long to make.

Cranberry Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2014
Addictive is all I have to say. So easy and so delicious! I skip the nuts (in case company doesn't like them). This is a go-to appetizer starting from Nov and on. I plan on buying fresh cranberries and freezing them so I'll be able to make these in the months they're not sold. You absolutely can't go wrong making this appetizer!
