About this Cook
Mother of three, wife to my one and only... I love cooking, but prefer when there's no pressure! My food tastes better when I am happy! In my next life I'm marrying an Asian fisherman who can cook! Mmmmmmm seafood and shellfish galore!!!!!
My favorite things to cook
I love roasting veggies in the oven and I love slow cooking roast beefs! Beef stew is another die hard favourite to cook! A little wine for the pot, a little wine for me!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I miss BIG family gatherings where you were FORCED to peel potatoes and carrots... Where does the time go...? :-(
My cooking triumphs
Making Trini-style curried crab the way my Daddy does and having my mother admit that she had no clue on how to make it! Satisfaction!
My cooking tragedies
Forgetting that I put the ribs on broil in the oven during winter months when I was craving BBQ, to get that caramelized effect and instead ending up with charcoal on bones... :-(

Banana Banana Bread
I wanted to try this recipe without changing a thing and hot I am content! Next time I will throw down some cinnamon, nutmeg, and figure out a way to incorporate some shredded apples... Mmmmm! Perfect moistness! I made mine into muffins and just checked on them when I started to smell the bananas!

Green Beans with Cherry Tomatoes
Yea this is pretty stellar. Never been a huge fan of tomatoes, except in pastas, but this was wonderful! Used parsley instead of basil and used less sugar! Oh, and I added some orange sweet peppers for a splash of color!

Plain Cake Doughnuts
Awesomely stellar! Just dust hands with flour and counter and you're set! It's not a SPICED doughnut, it's a SIMPLE CAKE doughnut down to a "T"! Voila!!!!
