Helen's Raisin Drop Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
fabulous cookies!!! I added 1 t. cinnamon because raisins ans cinnamon just go together. I wonder how they'd be with ricotta substituting for the shortening?

Shrimp and Asparagus Fettuccine

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2010
I've made a variation of this for years. Additions are 4 sauteed anchovies (until they mush up) and one dried chili pepper soaked in 1 cup of boiling water, then chopped. It's delicious and no one can tell the anchovies are there. Everyone always asks for the recipe.

Simple Texas Salsa

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2010
Made this salsa with 2 lg cans of whole Italian tomatoes instead of stewed (they are always awesome) and an extra clove of garlic. OMG..the best salsa ever! Thanks Susan!

Meatloaf with Fried Onions and Ranch Seasoning

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2010
I made this simple recipe tonight. It turned out awesome. I only had 1lb of hamburger but still added the same amount ingredients to it. I think chopped green pepper would be an excellent addition and may add that next. Will be tossing out the old recipe! Thanks Stef!

One Minute Chocolate Icing

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2010
Pour this hot on your chocolate sheet cake that is fresh from the oven. Both will be super fudgy and very moist. This frosting is not good for a layer cake, it sets up too fast. I LOVE this recipe. Thanks Sandy!

Sicilian Spaghetti

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
I tried this despite having our own version from my sicilian nonna. We use 1/2 c butter, 1/4 c evoo, no anchovies, no breadcrumbs and 2 heads of garlic peeled and sliced. saute the garlic, add 1 container of sliced mushrooms, after that cooks down, add to the pasta along with a pinch of red pepper flakes, s & p to taste and one ladel full of pasta water. Mix again then add 1 c. parmesan and mix one last time. This is peasant food and very delicious. Make sure you eat it all because it does not reheat well.

Taco Soup I

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2010
So so good! I worried about the avocado-I love them but never eat them hot and they do get hot as the soup is, but no fear, they were heavenly. Thanks for this recipe. I finally found my ideal taco soup! The only change I made was to use black beans as it was all I had on hand.

Dijon Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2010
I made these exactly as written and there was nothing special about them. Mine were tough and a little pink so baked them for 20 min more. They did smell great though.

fabulous as is, but I eliminated the butter and they were pretty darn good! This is my go to pancake recipe from now on. Thanks Dakota :)

Chicken Stew With Coconut Milk

Reviewed: May 21, 2011
This is fabulous! I cook curries a lot and I use yellow curry paste which includes a whole gamut of spices including cumin. It's quite spicy and worked in this dish wonderfully. Thanks Jean! Made mine on the stovetop as I never cook in the microwave.

You can use splenda instead of sugar and you can tell it's not real sugar. Been making these for years. I add dill too.

Mom's Best Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2011
You who are shortening the time to as little as 12 min., know that you need to use a thermometer to test the pork to well done temp (165F). If you don't, you may well set up your family for a parasite that can eat into your brain or eye or both. Not good! Btw-this recipe rocks AREJAY! Thanks! The chops come out juicy and tender.

Pasta e Olio

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2011
My family has enjoyed this meal passed down for generations from Sicily. We don't cook the parsley, but offer it as a topping. We also cook sliced mushrooms w/the garlic and butter/oil. The more garlic the better!!

Gooey Butter Cake I

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2011
I usually love everything I try from this site. This recipe is not one of those. It came out hard way too sugary. I baked it just as directed plus I had my oven calibrated just recently. Won't make this again. Sorry.

Classic Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
This recipe would be wonderful but for the cooking time. There's no way this is baked fully in 45 min.....2.5 lbs of meat was completely rare. I cooked it for 45 additional minutes at 350.

Egg Free Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2012
Fabulous cookies! I didn't change anything but add a tsp of salt. I did however back off the oven to 350F and baked for only 12 min ads I do not like overbrown bottoms or dry cookies. These are the best cookies I've ever tried on Allrecipes. Thanks Arlene from me and my grandson who is allergic to eggs.

Cherry Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2012
the cookies themselves were divine. However, the oven needs to be set at 350 and they need to bake for 14 min. My first batch I followed the directions to a 't'. I even baked them for 18 min but they still fell apart. My grandson is allergic to eggs so I was overjoyed to find this recipe. Thanks for posting it Joylyn.
