Fresh Cherry Cobbler

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2004
Delicious! What a wonderful, quick easy recipe! I added a lot of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger, as well as a big dollop of maple syrup to the batter, and it was great! My hubby raved and raved about it. And my three-year-old could happily lick the batter because it didn't contain eggs! I will definitely being making this again! - Many, many thanks!

Fantastic! Hard to improve on such a classic, but I did add a tablespoon of vanilla extract - it turned out perfect! I made this with my four year old, and I know we'll be making this for many years to come. Thanks Patricia!

Carrot Souffle

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2002
Great recipe! I cut down on the sugar and made this for my teething 15-month-old who didn't want to eat any veggies (or anything for that matter). The little bit of sweet did the trick - she loved it!! Thanks a bunch. This one is a keeper!!

This is wonderfully spicy and very easy! Brought it to a moms club potluck - what a hit! An added bonus: my house smelled like a Christmas gift shop after making it! This one and the maple syrup cider recipes are my favorites.

Spicy Pear Cookies

Yummy! What a great way to use up pears! I added lots more cinnamon and ginger, zest of an orange and golden raisins. I omitted the walnuts for my two year old, but they would've been great too. Hubby and child loved it - I'll definitely make this one again!!! Thanks for a great recipe!

Overnight Blueberry French Toast

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2006
Delicious! I doubled the berries and warmed another cup or so of blueberries in with some maple syrup instead of making the sauce (it was faster). Great on a snowy morning!

Butterscotch Drops

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2006
We love these - especially my 4 year old! When I make these, I melt the mixture in the microwave and then store them in the fridge, that keeps them from sticking together. I also use extra crunchy peanut butter. I've tried both Corn Flakes and Special K haven't noticed a difference. Thanks for the great recipe!

Diane's Colcannon

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2006
Fantastic! Made it for St. Patty's Day dinner and it was great! The only changes I made were to substitute buttermilk for the milk and use a package of pre-shredded cabbage (coleslaw mix). Thanks - I'll be making this every year!

Egg Salad I

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2006
Great recipe! I toned mine down for my 5 year old, and followed Bea's suggestion: 3 tblspns of mayo, 1 tblspn of mustard, lots of diced pickles, and a teaspoon of Lawry's seasonings (didn't have any dill). Next time I will add dill. This is a keeper!

One, Two, Three, Four Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2006
This was a great old-fashioned tasting cookie! It is definitely cakey, so if you don't care for those kinds of cookies, then this is probably not for you. I added a tablespoon of vanilla and a teaspoon of nutmeg and cinnamon to make it more flavorful. I iced it with an orange powdered sugar glaze at the end (3 tablespoons of oj, 1.5 cups of powdered sugar). The dough was not for cutting, so I made these as drop cookies and they formed beautifully. Also, I ended up with a lot more cookies than the recipe called for...so plan on making some for others as well! Everyone will thank you for it!

Lemon Blueberry Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2004
Loved it! Used two cups of blueberries plus lots of cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. It was so moist - perfect! I think next time I'll put more lemon in it to make it a little more tangy. I'll be making this again and again! Thanks!

Mom's Ginger Snaps

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2003
These are going to be "heirloom cookies" for me! Thank you so much for sharing it! So delicious and easy. I took some out early for softer, chewier cookies, and left some in longer for crisper cookies. I make these with the maple syrup apple cider recipe ( search allrecipes for "Hot Apple Cider") for a fall treat.

Peanut Butter Banana Oatmeal Raisin

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2003
Great healthy cookies! Made for my 2-year-old and she loved them! I used rice krispies instead of oats, which gave them a little crunch without being too heavy. Also I only cooked them till just golden - they stayed soft and kept a good banana flavor. Next time I'll add chocolate (for me!). Great treats for baby and mommy!

Very Easy, as long as you use Self Rising Flour.. I also cook them on a med hot griddle with extra oil. Fries the edges of the pancake and makes them very crispy.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake I

What a good, dense pound cake! Had rave reviews. I didn't have almond extract, so I subsituted coconut extract. It didn't change the flavor too much, just adds a delicious smell!
