Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
I used blue cheese dressing and neufchatel instead of cream cheese as for the lower fat contents and an kind of chicken shredded (not a fan of canned chicken) - to make it a meal I cook some pasta (bowtie, rotini, fussilli whatever your fave) prepare dip in a saucepot on stovetop without topping with the remaining cheese, pour cooked pasta in oven proof casserole dish, add dip and a veggie (broccoli, peas, bell peppers, celery...) stir, cover with remaining shredded cheese and bake in oven on 375 F for 20 minutes. serving suggestion with green salad on the side.

Southern Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2010
Love it!!! It makes the meat so tender, shredding it always sounded lie a pain work to me but this makes it a swoosh! Haven't yet gotten to make this recipe all from scratch as in here as I had pre-spiced pork roast in my Angel Foods Ministry box. but the pre-spiced part sounded a lot like the spices require in this recipe. will do this any time again! This is great and especially on hot and busy summer days or football/ big get togethers. As you do not have to fire up the oven and it leaves you lots of time for other things. YUM YUM YUMMY!

Melt-In-Your-Mouth Meat Loaf

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2010
Sooo juicy! My husband can not stand meat loaf, this changed his mind extremely. He even took seconds and thirds, made it with green salad and german potato salad. Also maks a great sandwich with baby greens and slightly melted cheese on multigrain bread. Occassionally I crave a meatloaf and had to wait for a restaurant serving it, now I can make it at home and the whole family will eat it. Hubby especially loved the topping sauce! Thanks so much for this.

Slow Cooker Lasagna II

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2010
I did not believe I could really make a tasty lasagne. quite rich with all those cheeses and all this riccotta, but sooo worth it! Hubby worked double second and third shift and I left portioned containers in the fridge. he'd eat it at 5am with love and indulgence and had a great deep sleep afterwards! Great recipe, though I'd still love to figure out how to get all those scrumptious layers clean out of a 5 quart slow cooker to serve so it looks as delicious as it tastes!

Slow Cooker Thai Peanut Pork

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2010
I made these by recipe but realized quickly the pork chops would get a little dry. make sure you keep the chops slightly coveed with liquid. to take the saltiness in charge either add a little water or honey. also if by the timethe chops are done you believe the sauce is too liquid you can always thicken it with flour or breadcrumbs. remember the peanut butter will take some the liquid and also of you serve over rice that the rice will sill soak up some liquid. Loved this recipe! My husband couldn't get enough of it and ate everything although he already felt full. Will definately make this again.

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2010
to make it a real classic tiramisu you missed the amaretto and one uses fresh ground coffee beans.

German Currywurst

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2010
As other reviewers mentioned, Kielbasa is Polish and smoked. Being German, I recommend Bockwurst, Wiener Wuerstchen, Fleischwurst... .also I can recommend using brown sugar in the sauce if made from scratch as it gives it more flavor due to caramelization within sauce when heated. Never heard of anyone adding chili sauce.

Peach Kuchen

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
just the cake dough/kuchenteig I was looking for, you can use any fruit in season (plums, pears, strawberries - with glaze - cherries, apples ...) I used apples, raisins & almonds. double or triple this recipe makes a great sheet cake! yum yum this is the dough my nanny used to make for plum cake when I was little!
