Jalapeno Popper Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2014
The only thing I change about this recipe is I put it in a bigger dish (13x9) so you get more cheese cracker topping over the yummy cheesy goodness. Other than that you do not need to change a thing with this recipe. I have made it several times and ever single time I have been begged for this recipe. Other times I have been out right asked if I was going to make for them. This one is a winner! Serve with a good thick corn chip and stand back or get trampled.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2012
Just the right combinations of cream cheese and sweetness. Didn't get rock hard when chilled. Put it over Red Velvet cake and both cake and frosting got licked up!

Mushroom Lentil Barley Stew

This was a little too earthy for our taste buds. I may try it again but will have to re-work the recipe for our tastes

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2011
Try different cake/frosting brands and you'll be surprised at the difference in flavors. I've found Devils Food is way better. Slightly cool the cake, crumble, and ad frosting to blend. Scoop out and place onto cookie sheets. Place in the freezer for at least 30 minutes. From this point work a few at a time. If making pops dip the stick into the candy coating first then into the cake ball, dip, and hold in one hand and then tap your wrist to drip excess coating. Top with sprinkles and stick pop stick into Styrofoam to set then wrap like a lolli. For cake balls work quick. These are amazing with will WoW them!

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2011
Made this for a card night with the cousins followed some of the other suggestions of using celery seed instead of poppy and it was really good. Instead of diced onion I grated mine which made the onion disappear into the salad perfectly. They have already asked for a repeat!

Lamb and Winter Vegetable Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2011
What a great stew to make. The kids ate all of it. Dipped hard crusted dense bread into it an it was yummy. There was this slight bitter taste which I'm thinking may have been the wine used, next time I'll try a different one. Kids didn't even know I used lamb until after the compliments went around the table. Will definitely try again.

Elegant Fig Appetizers with Goat Cheese and Almonds

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2011
VERY, very yummy! A girlfriend of mines fig tree was overflowing so naturally she had to share. We had an abundance of fresh figs to eat and cook with. I just happened to have all the ingredients in house and made this as an afternoon snack for the kids and I. The taste is amazing. You have the sweetness from the figs which is cut by the tartness of the cheese. We used whole raw almonds and the broiling brought out its nutty flavor. Then topped with the sweet n sour combination of balsamic vinegar and honey. What a great combination of warm, lush, sweet, tangy, and a cheesy treat. The kids devoured it and asked for more!
