I really don't understand why some reviews said that the sugar wasn't enough. It was too much if you ask me. I measured it in my head, and decided to go with 1 cup of sugar for 1 cup of water (for the boiling part). 1 3/4 cups of sugar is too sweet. At first, I thought it would be less for 7 cups of water, but it was perfect! It was actually sweeter than I thought! I drink my lemonade a little bit less sweeter, but the sugar was perfect (reduced from 1 3/4 to 1 cup). I also didn't use lemon juice straight from lemons. First, I didn't have any. Second, it would be more time consuming if I tried to juice 1 1/2 cups worth of lemons! I used organic lemon juice, straight from the bottle, and it tasted just as great! Overall this lemonade was wonderful. Next time, for my own preference, and since I like my lemonade to be "diet", I will add 1/2 cup of sugar. And I'm pretty sure it will still be sweet.
