I am living in South Korea. I am always looking for things to do with my excess rice (not to mention it is one of the few things I can cook thus far with the ingredients available). This is wonderful! Just a few things I'll do different next time: use 1/2 the raisins (we used regular instead of golden, and I think the flavor is a bit more potent), try to get my hands on some nutmeg (we used cinnamon which is definately a must!). I did notice the first bite was a bit bland, but once my overly spiced (Korean food!) taste buds adjusted, it was just right!! Nice treat, though much too sweet for a breakfast food (as one reviewer suggested), though I guess Americans eat doughnuts for breakfast sometimes, don't we?
