VERY tasty! Just a bit sweet for us though. But I love that tangy orange taste!

Everyone always RAVES about this stuff. I love it. It does make A TON though! When I remember, I half the recipe. We always have more than enough!

Everyone (including my 4 year old) gobbled this up! Next time I want to use some potatoes, but this was GREAT as written!

Overnight Blueberry French Toast

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2007
Very delicious -- but WAY sweet. Not sure what I'd do to prevent that for next time -- but it has to be toned down! *update - I remade this a few weeks back and reduced the sugar down to about 1/3c and it was PERFECT. Not too sweet at all. We were all impressed with the change.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2007
These are GREAT. I love that they don't make a MILLION like some other recipes. I like to sub some wheat flour in, too. I usually have to thin the batter a bit with some extra milk, too.

DH LOVED these. We just topped with maple syrup... but I'm hoping to find something even better for next time!

Eggplant Parmesan II

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2007
Not a huge fan. My 4 year old wouldn't touch it. The texture wasn't what I was in the mood for. The bottom layer didn't get cooked enough either.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2007
This recipe (and the reviewers of it) makes me very angry. If you change a bunch of things (or even one or two critical things) about a recipe IT IS NO LONGER THIS RECIPE!! I should not have to read through 50 reviews to know how to make this recipe at the rating it has received. I made no changes at all. It is awful. It is super concentrated with absolutely no sauce. The meat was all shredded up from cooking so long, and the flavor was FAR too salty. Don't make this recipe. If you've tried it with all the million alterations people have insisted you need to do in order for it to be good, then go ahead and submit that recipe to Allrecipes.com I'll try it -- and maybe it will deserve the nearly 5 stars this recipe has.

Carrot and Ginger Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2007
We liked it alright. My 4 year old daughter, who LOVES the butternut squash soup recipe from this site, didn't like this one at all. I dunno... I guess the ginger was a bit strong -- and I only used about half.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2007
These tasted great. My husband said he loved them and could eat them all -- and told me to give them 5 stars... but they really aren't my favorite. I can see myself trying other recipes first. update: I came back and changed this to 5 stars because these cookies are so soft and wonderful the next day (when stored in an airtight container). OH MY! I could have eaten 50.

Beef Barley Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
WAY too much beef. Use less than half what the recipe calls for... or better yet, DOUBLE everything else. This keeps fabulously. Otherwise, GREAT flavor. I'd also probably add more barley, too.

Wheat Germ Whole-Wheat Buttermilk Pancakes

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
The kids loved it! I used 1 cup wheat flour and 1/2 c cake flour because I didn't have any ww pastry flower on hand -- turned out great. I was a bit weary because the batter was so thin! But they turned out perfect. We topped with a homemade strawberry light syrup.

Beef and Walnut Stew

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
Really great flavor. That's a LOT of meat though in ratio to the other ingredients. So, 8 servings or 2 servings... this is A LOT of meat -- really less like a stew that I would eat straight out, and more like an entree that should be served over rice or something (to level out the meat overdose!)
