Whole Wheat Snickerdoodles I

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2011
Made exactly- flatten very slightly with a cup, my first batch I flattened too much. Baked only 8 min., any longer and they'd be too crispy! Very good!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2011
I feel guilty for all the compliments I got for making this cake- it was way to easy! All my kids say they want this for their birthdays now. Much more affordable than buying those premade ones at the store and more delicious.

Bean Soup With Kale

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2011
A family favorite! And we have all different tastes. I used bouillon cubes/water in place of broth, but followed the recipe exactly. Definitely a keeper!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2011
If I can find a recipe my whole family likes it's a keeper- this is a keeper! I do cut up the chicken to bite size pieces and cook on low about 8 hours (I think my slowcooker has higher heat than most though.) Very good- thanks!

Fruity Fun Skewers

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2011
Very pretty way to serve fruit. I just wonder- the photo shows pineapple & kiwi, but the recipes says banana & apple. Go with the pineapple and you can make ahead. Also substitute the apple for honeydew melon or kiwi. I made these in the morning and kept in fridge until serving later with a fruit dip. A big hit and easy!

Soft Sandwich Buns

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2011
Warning: once you make these you won't be able to buy those packaged buns at the store anymore. These are 100% better! And easy being able to use your breadmaker!

Orange Glorious I

These have become our family's traditional Christmas morning drink. I top each drink with whipped cream (the real stuff you spray from a can) and they love it!

Sangria! Sangria!

I've tried many sangria recipes and this is the best - and most potent. Before we knew it all us ladies were giggling up a storm! Make a day ahead and it's even better!

Mrs. Sigg's Fresh Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2011
This is so much better than using canned pumpkin. It'll still taste good with canned if you can't find a sugar pumpkin- but you're missing out if you don't use it!

Onion Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2012
My daughter who doesn't like onions liked this. I did use instant rice and it turned out great (needed it done quicker). I didn't fry the rice- after sauteing the onion I added the broth, got it to boil then added the rice, took it off the heat and covered it. I also used sweet white onion as I was worried the red onion might not look as nice. Very good!!
