Thick Chocolate Shake

Yum! This really hit the spot. I didn't add the powdered egg whites because I couldn't find them at our grocery store but I doubt this could have been better. Now I have to pick up more ice cream so I can have more. :)

Easy OREO Truffles

The first time I made these, I was at the store and didn't remember if the recipe called for semi-sweet or milk chocolate so I picked up both. When I made them, they were really, really good. This time, I picked up just semi-sweet and made them and they are not nearly as good. I think next time I will make them the same way I did the first time or maybe I will try all milk chocolate. They are just not sweet enough as written.

Best Ever Jalapeno Poppers

These were pretty good. My jalapenos weren't spicy at all so it wasn't the best. Also, there was way too much filling and I needed more milk, flour and bread crumbs to bread them. But everyone enjoyed them overall. I just need to find a way to get better jalapenos and maybe cut down on the filling a little. Maybe use pepper jack cheese next time.

Fudgy Peanut Butter Brownies

These were not good at all. The "frosting" was way too thin and then when we actually tried them, it was a huge disappointment. They didn't even taste like brownies. We ended up throwing pretty much the whole pan away. What a waste.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

I also made some minor alterations. I doubled the recipe for the muffins but not the topping. I also used brown sugar in the topping. For 1/2 the muffins, I used chocolate chips, too, thinking my kids would like those better. However, my 2 kids that wanted muffins (my daughter didn't... so picky!) loved the blueberry so next time I'll just do all blueberry. My husband said that they were the best blueberry muffins he's EVER had. I thought they were a little dry but I am giving them 5 stars because my family loved them so much!

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

My potatoes were still very crunchy. Was I supposed to let the hash browns thaw first? Also, I had the opposite problem with salt. My husband made it while I was out so I asked if he added any salt or not and he said no. It desperately needed it. I will probably make this again and let the hash browns thaw first so they aren't so crunchy and I will definitely add some salt. Maybe a little pepper too. I think with those changes, it will be a lot better.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Tasted just like a Cinnabon! Made these the night before and then just popped them in the oven in the morning. Not the healthiest breakfast but so delicious!

Cheesy Ranch Potato Bake

This was really good! I peeled the potatoes and cut the butter in half. Also added bacon like other people suggested. Next time I may do all of the butter because it was a tad dry. Very yummy and will definitely made again!

Chocolate Caramel Brownies

These were pretty good. I like my brownies more fudge-like and these are more cakey. I liked the caramel in the middle, though. Yum! I think I will try the caramel with a different brownie recipe (Brooke's best bombshell brownies, which are more fudgy) and I think I will get something that I will enjoy more.

Thousand Island Dressing II

Pretty good. Unknown to me, we had run out of thousand island dressing at home. I was making a turkey reuben for my husband and found this recipe and had everything. It was a little too sweet. I think there was too much relish. But all in all, it was a pretty good recipe and it worked well on the sandwich.

Butterscotch Oatmeal

I just made this for breakfast. I love oatmeal and was just looking for a new way to make it. The taste is pretty good but the texture is just plain weird. It's still edible but I don't think I'll make oatmeal with eggs again. Next time I'll just leave the egg out as the flavor is pretty good.

The Best Vegetarian Chili in the World

I make a few changes. First, I buy crushed tomatoes instead of whole tomatoes. I think it makes a better texture and crushing by hand is too hard. Second, I just throw everything into a big pot except the olive oil and let it simmer until the veggies are soft. Great recipe, though! Very spicy but that's the way we like our chili. :)

Party Chicken

I really didn't care for this. It was in desperate need of salt and pepper and even then, it wasn't very good. But my husband and 8.5 year-old son ate theirs. My 6.5 year-old daughter, my 3 year-old son and I did not though. So since 2 out of 5 people liked it enough, it gets 2 stars.

Pan-Fried Asparagus

I didn't actually eat this but my husband did and he gives it 4 out of 5 stars. I only used 2 T of butter and added the garlic at the end.
