Asparagus Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2011
OMG sooo good!!! I took the easy route though, and had to change some ingredients due to what i had on hand. First of all, it's easiest to cut the asparagus into bite sized pieces. Then, I used ground beef instead of chicken, cream of mushroom soup instead of cream of chicken, and omitted the nutmeg. Also only used a little spoonful of mayo & used a splash of milk instead of cream. I mixed it all up in a pan on the stove and served it from there with rice. My 2 year old DEVOURED it - asparagus and all!!! :)

Peanut Butter Noodles

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2011
This was yummy! I just eyeballed the amount of ingredients b/c i was at the bottom of the barrell with my honey and peanut butter...but the amounts ended up tasting perfect! I also diced up chicken breasts in it and used chopped broccoli, carrots, celery, and onions :)

Fluffy Peanut Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2011
Holy fluffiness!!! This frosting is a-m-a-z-i-n-g! Mine was not at all greasy, and it was SUPER fluffy! A tad hard to spread, but let's face it, anything with peanut butter is not going to be the easiest thing to work with ;) I softened my butter in the microwave, added the peanut butter, and used a cheap hand mixer to blend it completely together. Then added 1/2 cup of powdered sugar at a time - with a tiny splash of milk each time as well. Probably used a little under 2 cups of powdered sugar. AWESOME recipe!!!

Lana's Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2010
Great recipe! I didn't have green pepper or ginger, so i just left those out. One important tip is to make sure that when you add the cornstarch, that you add it slowly and constantly stir it until smooth! I put all of it in at once and then stirred it, which created tons of lumps of cornstarch that i couldn't get out. Even so, the end result tasted good - served over white rice :)

Slow-Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2010
Make sure you set your crock-pot on LOW not high...and it turns out great!!! We left ours in for 9+ hours (with potatoes and carrots) and it was soooo yummy! I put the cabbage in for about the last hour or so and it wasn't soggy at all :)

Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2010
These are delicious! Any time we think about making french fries, we always come to this recipe! :) A good tip is to mix everything in a gallon-sized ziploc bag (much easier than trying to coat the potatoes in a bowl). Also, we use a lot more potatoes than the recipe calls for, but we still adjust the oven temp to about 425...and only for about 30-35 minutes so they don't burn. Good stuff!!!

Drop Biscuits and Gravy

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2010
This is excellent! I've used the gravy portion of this recipe many times, and it turns out tasting just like restaurant-style sausage gravy! :) I do add a bit extra milk though. Last time i was out of the tube biscuit dough, so i decided to try the biscuit portion of this recipe as well...and they turned out great!!! The proportion of biscuits to gravy turned out pretty even (probably b/c we like thicker gravy). Thanks for the awesome recipe!

Sparkling Punch

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2010
Very yummy! I made this for my daughter's 1-year birthday party, so i used pink lemonade to give it a light pink color. And since i used lemon-lime soda instead of carbonated water, i omitted the sugar (which would have made it way to sweet with the soda). This punch was sooo good! I made a double batch but only used 1 large orange, 1 lemon, 1 lime, and a handful of marshino cherries :) It was colorful and looked awesome!!! You definitely don't need 3 large oranges though. I had a big punch bowl and mine was full enough with the fruits that i mentioned above. Excellent recipe though!

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2010
Very good sauce! We used to always use the cheap brand of sloppy joe sauce until a year or two ago, and then my husband would request Manwich b/c it obviously has better flavor. So last night we were planning on making sloppy joes for tonight's supper, and he said "Don't forget to make sure you get Manwich, not the cheap brand." Haha. So i looked on here for a recipe instead and tried this one.....and we both thought it was great! We will definitely make this again, and might not have to buy ANY brand ever again b/c we'll be making our own!!! Thanks for the yummy recipe! :)

'Got Some Crust' Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2010
This is excellent! The only difference in the one i made is that i used regular pepper instead of white pepper, crushed saltines instead of bread crumbs (b/c i didn't have any)...and i also added about a cup or so of frozen mixed vegetables to it. It was soooo yummy! I'll definitley be making this again!
