Cooking is my favourite pastime - apart from reading about cooking! On my days off I get up thinking 'what can I cook today?' - sad muppet really......... I love to bake nice things for my family. We don't buy processed cakes or biscuits as I've taught my kids to make their own. We also love curries served with chutneys which we've made from the wild stuff we gather here in France. I love cooking with my two girls and their friends - everyone comes round and I lay out all the ingredients, then we make pizza bases and they all add their own toppings. I think kids need to be given an interest in cooking and the best way to do this is to teach them to make things they like to eat. My young daughters are very capable cooks already! Tried a 'Trade me Chocolate Cupcake' recipe last week and had to dump the whole batch :( not sure if American tastes are the same as ours!
