One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
This is why I love this site. Here is an EASY recipe to follow. The user comments were right on. Per their advice I used the following... 1 cup of cocoa powder (Still Hershey's since that is what I had) 1/2 tbsp instant coffee to the boiling water before mixing. The cake is moist, delicious, and a little dense compared to regular sheet cake.

Chocolate Frosting I

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2011
I took the advice of others on here and increased the cocoa and decreased the confectioner, and it's still too confectionery tasting. Not a fan.

Crazy Crust Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2011
I followed the recipe exactly, but I did not use it for pizza. I removed the dough from the oven a little early before it became crispy. I used the dough as a wrap with garlic and caramelized onions and sauteed chicken.

Real Traditional Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2011
I was a bit uncertain about this recipe, even while it was baking. I had never baked a bread on the stove top. Well, I followed the recipe exactly. I did need to add a lot of flour to the surface. The dough was a bit too moist for kneading. However, it turned out really well, and it was very easy to make. It's definitely a classic. Variations in the future may include currants or maybe some whole grain alternatives.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
These are fantastic. I ran out of Bisquick one day and used this recipe. For some healthy substitues, I replace 1/2 cup of the flour with 1/2 cup ground oats, and I replace regular butter with Smart Balance. Also, to make them a little thicker, I just add a little more flour. HOWEVER, whether you try out my substitutes or use the receipe as is - these are great!
