Slow Cooker Venison Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
My fiance is a huge hunter and I always have a freezer full of venison to cook with. This is deff. one of his favorites and it is so easy.I also love this recipe because I make a big bake with the leftovers the next day so its 2 dinners in 1. Just take a 9x13 pan. Spread 2 cans of crecent rolls across the bottom then put the meat and cover with cheddar cheese. Last step is to cover top with 1 more can of crecent rolls ( I make it a lattice top) bake at 375 for 20-30 min. or till browned and warmed through. So Good!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2010
Made this for my first Thanksgiving dinner and everyone loved it!!!!! My fiancee said that it was the best turkey he has ever had and everyone commented on how every bite was juicy. I used the best brine recipe from AR and brined the turkey overnight but other then that followed these directions exactly! Impressive and easy, a must for the holidays and any other time you need to impress guests w/out too much effort.

Herbed Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2010
Delicious! And so easy! I made a few small changes, like substituting vegetable broth for the water and doubling that liquid and spices but that was just to suite personal taste. Definitely worth a try and so perfect for a chilly fall or winter night

Ooey Gooey Breakfast Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2010
Sinfully Delicious and easy! The only thing I changed was to put a little extra butter and some extra cinnamon and pudding mix on the bottom of the pan. Let it sit in the fridge overnight, popped them in when I woke up in the morning. Total hit at my brunch I had, these are deff. a must try!!!!!

This recipe has the 3 components that make a meal a true culinary success..... inexpensive, easy to make and above all DELICIOUS!!!! I soaked the chicken in salt water for about 4 hours prior to cooking and also added garlic powder to the dry rub but other then that I followed the directions exactly. Ground Venison Burgers

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2010
Well I am a vegetarian so I made the burgers for my fiancee who is an avid deer hunter and LOVES venison, he absolutely loved this recipe. He said it was the perfect amount of heat and was so good. I didn't have any plain yogurt on hand so I used sour cream for the burgers. And the sauce is DELICIOUS and I love it even more because it was great on the venison (says my fiancee) and awesome on my black bean burger.... Definitely a keeper... the sauce alone is a 10

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2010
After making a few changes to suit personal taste this was an awesome recipe. I left out the walnuts and added 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. pumpkin spice and a pinch of cloves. I also didn't have sour cream on hand so I added a 1/2 cup of FF yogurt instead. Following the advice of others I used 3 bananas instead of 2 and mashed them all. This was delicious, very simple to tweek to suite personal taste and super easy!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
Amazing! I have followed the directions to the letter and I have also omitted the meat and used a variety of mushrooms in its place both ways was amazing. I always put the sauce in the slow cooker for about 4-5 hours... turns out flawless and always impresses!

Sirloin Steak with Garlic Butter

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2010
WARNING!: Very unhealthy! But fine to eat once in awhile ... This made my house smell AMAZING! My fiance absolutely loved it. We do not have a grill so what I did was sprinkle sea salt and pepper on both sides of the steak, placed on a cookie sheet, place baby bella mushrooms all around then covered it all in the garlic butter sauce. I then covered it with tinfoil and baked at 425 for 25 minutes, then 5 min. on broil. The whole thing was amazing! Served with homemade mashed potatoes and garlic/mushroom sauteed green beans (my own Recipe!) Delicious

Coffee Shortbread

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2010
Followed the recipe exactly. Not the prettiest cookies I have ever made. Texture too grainy for my taste (which if I would have thought about it ahead of time, its too be expected) also too crispy for what I like. Also I thought coffee would be a flavor not the ONLY flavor you could taste. Not my favorite, I would not make these again.
