This recipe is the real deal, authentic New York style cheesecake. I followed the recipe exactly as written and it produced something I still can't believe I made. I moved from the US to Australia and have been craving cheesecake factory cheesecake for so long...until now! Never attempted to make one myself before (I didn't even own a spring form pan until I decided I was going to give this recipe a try), so I was a little intimidated, but it was so easy and came out perfectly. I used an electric hand mixer to mix the cream cheese and sugar ultra smooth and then I used a whisk to hand mix the remaining ingredients to avoid over mixing (as some helpful reviews indicated could cause problems). I honestly don't understand any bad reviews for this recipe. This is as classic NY style as it gets and pretty much foolproof. Chantal, this expat wishes she could hug you! AMAZING recipe!
