Great base for the chili! Like some of the other users, I only added 1 cup of water, giving it a good hearty consistancy. I also used both a can of kidney beans plus a can of black beans. My other addition was adding paper thin slices of serano, jalapeno, and pepperchini peppers. I didn't add a lot of the peppers, but enough to give it a nice green flavor and add to the hotness some. I added them to the meat and onions at the start of this recipe. Everything else I kept the same and was really happy with it! I had 3 bowls and had to resist a 4th!!
