About this Cook
I'm a designer by profession and I joined my husband's business after I got married. My love for Baking started recently. It's been 5 months since I got the oven and started baking! thanks to my MIL. If I'm too stressed at work, I take a break and bake something delecious :) That's one way I relax, believe me it WORKS! It calms me down completely and makes me think better...
My favorite things to cook
Any thing Vegetarian goes... Love to bake all types of cakes, pasteries, pizzas etc., I pretty much try all veggie recipes from this site. I look forward to more.. Very fond of cooking N baking..It's a therapy !!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
everyone in my family cooks! They make authentic Indian food. When I started cooking I began to experiment a lot with their recipes..
My cooking triumphs
every time I get a fluffy cake I consider it a triumph!! I have supportive people as a family..their all time request to me would be to bake something that's really healthy. So, when I started toasting the recipes that called for deep frying it was a big HIT!

Date Loaf Cake
Great recipe! I soaked the dates in brandy for close to 6 hours before I added into the mixture... Simply superb!!

Simple 'N' Delicious Chocolate Cake
Made no changes to this recipe and it came out well.. Will definitely make it again!

Mississippi Tea Cakes
Simply delicious! Very easy to prepare. As I ran out vanilla essence I replaced it with 1.5tsps of lemon essence and added 1tbsp of lemon zest. Took 2 cups of flour I took 3/4C of coarse sugar, It made a huge difference in the texture, more crispier at the top and soft in the inside! 1/3C butter and finally gave an Icing sugar lemon juice, milk glazing. It was just perfect!!!!!!
