Hot German Potato Salad III

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2014
Boil time for potatoes is WAY TOO long....they were mush. Leaving skins on might have helped or using LARGE potatoes instead of average size for 30 mins of boiling. Amount of bacon, vinegar, water, and celery seed is proportioned too low with amount of potatoes---doubled it by comparing it with another recipe I found in a old cookbook. Look for another recipe and skip this one.

Butter Brickle Frozen Delight

Reviewed: May 24, 2012
This was good......but very sweet and rich. And you MUST give it plenty of time to freeze. I gave it 4 hours and that was NOT enough time. It was still very soft and when it is not frozen it is EXTREMELY sweet and rich. When it is frozen hard, it tastes more like ice cream and is MUCH better.

Mexina Salsa Verde

Reviewed: May 24, 2012
Very good and easy. Next time I will add garlic, as recommended by some. It is not the real thing (like you get in a Mexican restaurant) but darn close.

These were awesome. Made them without a bread machine too. Got lots of compliments on them.

Rhubarb Pudding Cake

Reviewed: May 5, 2011
I love this recipe. I have made this at least 6 times now and the only alteration I make, is I use 1/2 cup of sugar on the top. This is the best rubarb 'cobbler' recipe I have ever eaten or made. And others who have tried it, agree. And it works just as well with all Splenda instead of sugar.

Great recipe---Husband loved it, but will cut butter and nuts back a bit next time. Easy---super easy---pretty----and wonderfully sweet/tart. Will be great to serve during the holidays.

Made a few changes suggested by others and have made this three times now. Great way to use venison....mix with venison, onions, and peppers for fahitas. Yummm!

The cake was good, but not outstanding. It was very different, very easy. Will I make it again? Perhaps, but with many alterations.

Meatloaf Cordon Bleu

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2010
Recipe is a winner. My guys hate normal meatloaf. They loved this one. I used shaved honey ham and pepper jack cheese--what I had on hand. Very tasty. I think it would be good with any inner meat/cheese combination--like thin lean pepperoni and provolone. It is a repeater.

Shrimp Lemon Pepper Linguini

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2010
My husband took the leftovers to work and all the men wanted to trade him, just based on look, smell and my husbands compliments while eating it in front of them. Two of the guys now have the recipe. Definitely a make often recipe.
