I simply don't understand the negative reviews on this cake, it was EASY to make if you followed the instructions carefully. If you topping is sinking you over mixed your batter, YOU FOLD in the mixture of flour, not mix. Bake it in a 9 X 13 pan until you figure it out. If you don't follow the recipe perfectly don't leave a negative review, as you changed the recipe... This cake was WONDERFUL, best coffee cake I have ever ate. Next time I will make double the topping and try adding a layer to the middle of the cake. The batter should be stiff, cake cooked in 30 minutes.

There is way to much half & half and not enough egg in this basic recipe, I reduced the half &half to 1 1/2 cup and used 5 eggs. I like meat in my quiche but can't count off for it since this a recipe for BASIC QUICHE, it's an awesome example for a person new to making quiche. You can personalize this to suite lots of different taste. I personally like to use Kraft 3 cheese blend (1 cup) and 1/2 cup cubed ham.

I loved this recipe, I left out the beans. I used two cups of fat free cheese. Also I shredded up the tortillas. Next time I will only use 1 1/2 LB Hamb, use Mexican blend cheese and add 1/4 enchilada sauce to the hamb.

GREASY, DRY & RAW. I am not even sure how you get those 3 things in one recipe! I followed these to the detail, after the 10 minute cooking they were raw in the center. After cooking another 10 minutes ( 20 total) they lacked flavor. When picked up grease dripped from them. The only reason I am giving 3 stars is I feel this is a great "starter/basic" recipe to add my own flavor too

I loved this, I made it for sugar cookies however had some left over cupcakes to frost and used this. It worked perfect, the taste is much better than most basic cookie frosting. I did add a small amount of corn syrup to thin it down for cookies.

This was so easy, tasted WONDERFUL. My picky children loved it. Will be served often in our home.

Bland---I followed the recipe exactly and I would say they had NO TASTE. Like eating flour. Kneading 20 times makes these dense; needs more salt maybe?

I followed the recipe and it was great. It makes a huge amount (good for a big famil). I would say it would serve 10 people. It was easy to make, easy clean up!

Seriously people, if you don't like FLOUR tortillas find another recipe. There are already 100 reviews of people explaining why it's wrong to use, blah blah blah! You can use whatever YOU WANT, it's a matter of preference, yes even in Mexico... I found this to be a perfect base recipe. I followed the directions and loved it. My family loves it. Thanks so much
