I am a stay-at-home-mom of two very active children. I used to be the sort of person who considered a home-cooked meal to be opening a box of pasta and a jar of sauce. Since I married my husband, we've been making more and more things completely from scratch. Now, if I can't make it myself, we don't eat it.
My favorite things to cook
I am a bread-baking addict. I love to try new bread recipes and always try to have a fresh-baked loaf for my family.
I really love to cook international dishes (misir wot and injera from Ethiopia, for example). My family loves to try new and different dishes!
My cooking triumphs
I once made my own mozzarella cheese completely from scratch. I've also been very successful with banana bread and my sour cream cornbread.
I also make my own macaroni (much better than the boxed stuff!).
My cooking tragedies
Potatoes au gratin (greasy mess)
