Fruit Cobbler

Reviewed: May 31, 2010
I followed the recipe to the letter, and it turned out beautifully. . I used 12 small-to-medium sized peaches, not very ripe (I tried a few pieces raw and they were quite tart). I was concerned how the cobbler would turn out, but there was nothing to worry about! The cobbler was just sweet enough, the fruit didn't turn to mush, and it really was just right.

Chicken and Corn Chili

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2010
This chili was easy and delicious. My husband commented that to him, it was more like a hearty soup or stew than chili, but he still liked it.

Scrumptious Strawberry Shortcake

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2004
I made the recipe exactly as written and loved it, as did all my family and friends I shared it with. I like the flavor of the cream of tartar. This is great if you like a not-too-sweet, dense cake, the perfect background to fresh berries and homemade whipped cream.

Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2004
I doubled the recipe, put 18 cookies on each baking sheet, put both sheets in the oven and baked 10 minutes at 375. Turned out perfectly and were delicious up to two days later (that's as long as they lasted!).

Easy Stroganoff

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2001
This was easy and delicious. I think the key is the Worcestershire sauce--it gave the dish a more interesting flavor.

These were easy to make and turned out delicious. I added nuts to the crumb topping with great results.

Beef Stew IV

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2001
I followed this recipe to the letter and it was a great success. The only thing I did differently was cook dumplings (made with Bisquick) in the stew at the end.

Egg Fried Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2001
This was the first time I've made fried rice. This recipe worked, but I won't use it again. It had a very heavy "brown" taste, and it took much longer than 2-3 minutes to properly cook the onions and other vegetables. Maybe if you cut the amount of soy sauce and added something else...like garlic?...the recipe would be improved.
