Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2010
This was so good and so easy to make. I made it exactly as the recipe stated and it turned out perfect. Next time I might add some broccoli or corn or carrots. It was excellent! My household loved it! Will definitely make it again. Will be sending it with my husband for his next camping trip.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2009
Really Good! I used a 3.5lb or a little bigger English Roast. I coated it with flour and put in the slow cooker without browning it. I used beef broth instead of water and added a few splashes of worcestershire sauce. It was so soft, I had it in the cooker on low for about 8-9 hours. I then served it over some egg noodles, next time I will serve it over mashed potatoes, but I will also add mushrooms to the pot. Excellent Roast!

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
Mixed reviews on this recipe. I followed the changes others suggested,3cps. confectioners sugar, 2 cups brown sugar, and 1 cup peanutbutter. After pouring in the pan I left it out on the counter to "chill" since many others said not to refrigerate. I tried it about 2 hrs later and it had a soft consistency, not fudgelike. I put it in the refrigerator overnight hoping it would harden, which it did, but still not the consistency of what I think of fudge. Took it to a family cookout and some really liked it and some were just ok with it. I might try it again another time but will look for another recipe in the mean time.

Garden Fresh Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
This soup was really good. It was my first time making tomato soup with tomatoes from my garden. I didn't have cloves so I left that out. I also didn't have a food mill, so after the boiling I put it through a blender and then strained it, discarded the seeds etc. and continued with the rest of the recipe. It turned out great.

Pumpkin Fudge

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
This was very good, however I wish there was more of a pumpkin taste. I took this to a breakfast for a group of people and did receive alot of compliments. Very sweet but soooo good is something I heard alot. Some people said you could really taste the pumpkin but I would have liked it to be a bit stronger. Stirring this occasionally for the 18 minutes did seem like FOREVER but I think it was worth it. Overall this was really good but gave it four stars because I would have liked more of the taste of pumpkin. Maybe next time I will add a bit more pumpkin and see how it works/tastes.

Broccoli Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2008
Very good. Instead of frozen broccoli, I used fresh broccoli and steamed it first. I steamed it until I could bite through it, but still have some crunch, because it did get softer as it cooked in the oven. There were alot of separate steps with this but it was worth it. Husband and daughter loved it.

Sour Cream Coffee Cake III

Reviewed: Sep. 23, 2008
This was very good. The first time I made it I did double the filling and I thought it came out great. The second time I made it I didn't have enough brown sugar to double the filling so made it as the recipe stated and it was still good but I prefer doubling the filling. I made this for my Sunday school class at church and received many compliments on it. Will make again

BLT Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2008
This was okay but not worth 5 stars by any means. It really soaks up the mayo mixture. If I make this again I will add more of the mayo and omit the celery. I could taste the celery and there is no celery in BLT's. I may try this once more but this time I made it exactly as the recipe says and it was just o.k.

Sophie's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2008
This was so good. It was the first recipe I tried for zuchinni bread and I won't be looking any further. The bread was very moist. Since the recipe makes 2 loaves, I will give one away and keep one for my family.

This frosting was really good. I put it on a Funfetti cake and put it in the refrigerator. The frosting was really good when it was cold. I'll use this recipe for many of my cakes.

Smooth Sweet Tea

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2008
This is so good. I have had the recipe about 2 days now and have made double the recipe about 3 or 4 times now. Its that good and it is very smooth. I may go through alot of tea bags but its worth it. I will make this for my next family get together.

Garden Tomato Salsa

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2008
Did not like this at all. Considering all the other reviews, I thought this out be great but unfortunately I hated it. The oil seemed strange and we just did not like the consistency. Won't be making this again.

Spanish Rice Bake

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2008
This was good. It wasn't spectacular or anything but it was good and I will probably make it again. It's more like a side dish than a meal in itself. I did use taco sauce instead of the chili sauce because that is what I had on hand. Will make some changes next time.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2008
These cookies were quite good. I used all butter as others suggested and used allspice instead of the cloves. I also added a bit more cinnamon than the recipe asked for. I don't really make cookies because for some reason I don't have the best of luck with them. However, these were easy to make and were very good. I will probably make these again.
