Dee's Roast Pork for Tacos

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2006
This was really really good. I cooked mine in the crockpot on high for 5 hours, last hour of cooking I added thinly sliced red onions. I also was out of chili powder so I used 1 whole packet of taco seasoning (Lawry's Hot Taco), and used fresh minced garlic. I shredded the meat and left it in the crockpot for about 20 minutes. Will be using the leftovers to make enchiladas.

Bev's Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2003
We really really liked this alot.. I made a couple changes..I added just a pinch of ground ginger.. after I mixed all the ingredients I threw them all in a Ziploc bag along with some fresh sliced mushrooms and some chopped green onions..I let everything marinate for about 30 minutes in the fridge before I cooked it.. I used boneless, skinless chicken thighs so it only took about 45 minutes to cook.. My husband isnt a big rice fan so I just served it over some green beans and a nice salad.. I think the mushrooms and the onions made all the difference.. Kiki (Brampton,ON Canada)

We loved this!.. I made mine in a bundt pan, it took about 35 to 40 minutes to cook.. I also made a couple changes and only used 2 tblsp of lemon juice and 1 tblsp of lemon zest..I also added 1/2 teasp of vanilla and 1/4 teasp of cinnamon and mixed in some chopped macadamia pieces in with the walnuts.. I only used half of the glaze, and when the cake was completly cooled I sprinkled it with powdered sugar.. In the morning my husband liked his piece warmed up some butter spread on it, I liked mine with a little strawberry cream cheese spread on.. Im know I will be making this over and over.. Cabbage Rolls II

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2003
I made these tonight for dinner and both my husband and I loved them.. I did make a couple changes..I cored the cabbage and then just boiled the whole thing for about 3 minutes..making it easier to pull apart.. I only like brown rice and my husband isnt a rice fan at all so I did not put any rice in it at all .. I doubled the sauce mixture... I added about 1/2 teasp of Garlic Powder to the beef mix, extra onion, a splash of Heinz 57, 1/2 teasp of minced garlic and a handful of the French Fried onions from the can.. to make up for not having the rice and for extra flavor..They were absolutely delicious..My husband had no idea that this was my first time making Cabbage Rolls.. Definetly a great recipe! Kiki (Brampton,On Canada)

In a bowl I mixed 1 can of Cream of Mushroom (lower fat) and 1 can Cream of Chicken (lower fat), 1 can of drained mushrooms, and 1 can of the french fried onions.. I then poured it all over the chicken.. I added the sour cream the last 30 minutes..I served my husbands over mashed potatoes and mine over whole wheat rotini.. Really Really good!.. Bacon and Tomato Cups

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2003
These are fantastic!! I cant wait to make them again for our Superbowl party.. I made a few changes.. I used Turkey bacon, green onion,2 roma tomatoes, and shredded mozarella, I cut the mayo to 1 tblsp, seperated the biscuits into thirds and used a regular muffin pan... Fantastic!!.. I only got to have about 4 of them, my husand ate the rest!!... (update July 13th 2003)..I have made these over and over and have now changed from biscuits to thin slices of Baguette (like you would use for Bruscetta), it gets very crispy and is even more delicious than the biscuits, I think.. Flaky Crescent Mushroom Turnovers

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2003
I made these tonight for dinner and they were delicious!!... I did make a few changes... I used an 8oz package of mushrooms, instead of minced onion I chopped up a green onion and added that to the pan with the butter and mushrooms along with 1 teasp minced garlic.. When filling the crescents do them one at a time because once the hot mushroom filling gets on them they get soggy.. So spoon some filling on one square and fold it right away then move to the next one.. On top of the mushroom mixture before folding I topped it off with a mixture of Parmesan and Mozarella cheese... Dont worry if they wont fold into a perfect triangle I found that any shape is delicious..LOL.. I didnt have any sesame seeds so I couldnt add those but they were GREAT without them.. I will be adding these to my Superbowl Appetizer trays.. Kiki (Brampton,On Canada)

Pumpkin Cookies with Penuche Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2003
These cookies are so delicious!!... To ice them I dipped them in the pan I made the icing in, face down, while they were still a little warm.. I placed them on a rack with some tin foil underneath so the icing wouldnt drip on the counter... After I iced the last cookie I started over with the first and dipped them again.. They tasted like glazed doughnuts when they were completely cooled... I added them to my Christmas goodie, and had requests for the recipe.. Im gonna try them with mashed banana next time and then maybe a mixture of pumpkin and banana.. mmmmm Kiki (Brampton,ON Canada)

I served it with grilled cheese sandwhiches and it took me back to when I was a kid and my grandmother made the same meal for me... Kiki (Brampton,ON Canada)

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2002
My husband and I loved this so much... My makin them out of the box days are over... I made just a couple changes... I sprinkled garlic powder on both layers of the potatoes...I also used marble cheddar and after I poured the cheese mixture over I also topped it off with a bit more shredded cheese... I baked it covered like it said but uncovered it for the last 10 minutes and it gave it just the right amount of crispiness, just the way we like it... and for my husband I added just 1 more sprinkle of cheese to his on his plate... These are also great the next day served with eggs for breakfast... Kiki (Brampton,On,Canada) P S.. I wanted to add that I just made this again today (Oct 4th) and topped it off with some cooked and crumbled turkey bacon and sliced green onions.. Fabulous!!!

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2002
This is SOOOOO YUMMMMY!!!... My husband and I love it!!... I made just a few changes..I sprinkled my roast with some garlic powder and worchestire sauce when I put it in the crockpot.. I also added a can of mushrooms (drained).. When the meat was ready to be sliced I took it out and sliced it very thin and even shredded a few pieces, then put the meat back in the crockpot for 30 more minutes to soak into the juice.. I didnt put butter on our french bread, instead I toasted it with some shredded mozarella on it... The juice is so good and it smelled so good while it was cooking.. While I was slicing the meat my husband was eating it right out of the crockpot!!!...LOL..He has already requested it for next weekend when we have friends coming over.. Kiki (Brampton,On Canada)
