Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2013
I have nothing to compare this recipe because I have never had brussel sprouts...I prepared them with chopped garlic and sprinkled parmesan cheese along with sea salt, and roasted for 20 minutes in a 425 degree oven (as another reviewer suggested)...There was no odorous smell as other reviewers stated. The sprouts turned out well, I think...much like little cabbages with a nice salty caramelized coat....the burnt-like shavings that fall off are like chips...yummy...Very easy side dish!

Baked Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2012
Made this yesterday for the Giants domination over the Pack....we got RAVE reviews. I followed the recipe to the tee, but took heed to reviewers and placed the wings on a rack and not directly on the pan. Served with blue cheese, carrots and celery. DELISH! A football party staple from now on.

Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
Why did I never think of baking my meatballs before! These tasted a bit like my regular meatballs, but the whole roasting trick I never fathomed before. The texture of the meatball was wonderful. I followed the recipe, except I didn't have Italian seasoning so used basil, oregano, parseley, adobo, and some old bay- just a touch of each. I didn't have 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, half of that at best. Very excited to do this again! Thank you!

Sangria! Sangria!

Delish! Followed recipe, though I omitted the sugar, and used ginger ale instead of carbonated water. Everyone loved it! Thank you for the great recipe!

Magic Cookie Bars from EAGLE BRAND®

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2011
This recipe was passed to me by my sister-in-law and are a holiday staple. One slight difference though, I add 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 cup butterscotch chips. Chopped walnuts are the nut of choice for me. They are so rich and delicious. And extremely easy to make. A big hit every time!

Famous Chicken Francaise

Reviewed: May 9, 2011
I would give this 3 1/2 stars if I could...I dregded in flour, egg mixture, then flour...I fried til golden crisp on both sides....I removed then made the sauce. Individually, the chicken and sauce werre very good, but the sauce didn't seem to adhere to the chicken as it does in restaurants...My husband (a huge chicken francaise fan) enjoyed it...Needs some tweaking, but a keeper nonetheless... (If you have fussy kids, keep their chicken out of the sauce, and suggest it to them as a dip...)

Marinated Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: May 6, 2011
My husband raved about this marinade (I, myself, do not eat sea food) It was very easy to prepare. I used dry basil instead of fresh. This and sirloin steaks were a great way to start the BBQ season off!

High Temperature Eye-of-Round Roast

Reviewed: May 6, 2011
I followed this recipe to a tee, and was excited to try it since of all the rave reviews. When I finally opened to oven, my roast was cold and the inside raw. After waiting so long, especially with a roast that would have taken me less than 1 1/2 hours the tradiional way, I was a little upset. In the defense of the original poster, I must add, my oven is old, and probably doesn't hold heat in as well as those who gave this recipe high ratings. But for us with older ovens, I would not recommend this recipe.

Schweinebraten Pork Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2010
I'm a mom of three finicky boys (ages 3,6, and 8). They and my husband LOVED this. It was sooo easy, and the house smelled divine. Enough for leftovers too....Remember to make gravy with the drippings!
