Loved it. Saved it. Shared it. Tweaked it and added a handful of crumbled crisp bacon to it then fried it in fresh bacon grease. Oh my goodness Yum!

It was good. Used less peppers than called for and it was still too many. Almost too sweet also.

Chili Seasoning Mix II

When I need a chili powder mix recipe, this is where I come back to every time. Makes a delicious chili every time, that everyone in my family can enjoy, even the little ones.

Baklava

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2011
I am giving this five stars because it is exactly what I was looking for. I have done some background checking on Baklava and it indeed is not Greek it is Middle Eastern, from what I read, it is used for Ramadan (Islamic) Quite a bit. That being said, this is a great recipe. I did 1 and a 1/2 times the ingredients and found I still had plenty enough Phyllo dough for another half a pan. I really enjoyed making this. It was great fun. It disappeared so quickly though that I am at it again; )

Boiled Bagels

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2011
They were ok. The directions leave something to be desired. These need to go strait from the boiler to the oven. No down time or they shrink. Not what I expected.

Grandma Ople's Apple Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
I gave this five stars because it is DELICIOUS! I used ten apples and added cinnamon and vanilla. I also used store bought crust and brushed it with egg and baked it for 7 minutes at 350 before filling it with Apples and All. I completely covered this pie with crust because I like crust. I cut four slits around the top. I left the oven at 350 and baked the pie for 45 minutes, turned it down to 300 and baked it for 20 minutes more before I took off the complete cover I had over it and finished baking it for ten minutes to crisp the crust. Best Apple Pie I have ever made.

This cake was great. My whole family liked it. The base cake alone is delicious. The directions leave a bit to be desired. In place of the whole milk I used buttermilk. Great taste.
