About this Cook
I am a beautiful child of God, married to an amazing man for 18 years with 3 awesome children.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook - hate to bake! I love to try new recipes - especially the ones I find on All Recipes. I love to grill - burgers, steaks, pork chops. I love to try things in my crockpot/slow cooker. I enjoy cooking for other people and often make enough to feed an Army so I can take leftovers to friends or co-workers.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My kids LOVE to help in the kitchen. They peel potatoes, cook eggs, or whatever is needed and love to try new kitchen gadgets. We watch FOOD NETWORK all the time and enjoy trying recipes or techniques we learn on different shows.
My cooking tragedies
I had tried a Thai Chicken pizza at a local restaurant and so badly wanted to try it at home. So - I tried - OMGoodness the peanut butter was overwhelming! It was awful - the family wouldn't eat it.. we threw it away.

Cake Balls
I made these last night for my sons football team! A huge hit! I made strawberry cake, strawberry icing and dipped them in chocolate. I also made milk chocolate cake/cream cheese frosting and dipped them in chocolate! Yummo!!

Kielbasa Fried Rice
Awesome! I am not a huge fan of sausage but I wanted to follow the recipe first before I made changes. The family LOVED this! I have added this to my recipe box and will be making this again.. maybe I'll try chicken or shrimp next time. I had a broccoli/carrot mix (like a slaw mix) on hand so that's what I used. Excellent! Oh - and you can never go wrong with the Padang Peanut Sauce!!

Cherry Chicken Lettuce Wraps
My family LOVED my version of this recipe. Basically the same thing just omit the cherries. Yes, I'm one of those. Sorry. We are not cherry fans. We go to a local place here called Pei Wei for lettuce wraps. These are so much better!! My family requested these for our New Years Day dinner. Oh - I was out of almonds so we use sunflower seeds (it's what I had)....and ....oh, water chestnuts added a nice a crunch. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe! It's now one of our favorites.
