Beef or Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2014
Marinated chicken thighs for 2 days, and then grilled the thighs. Everyone RAVED about the marinade. Next time, I think I'd use fresh garlic instead of the powder (because I like a stronger garlic taste), but this is a great marinade as-is.

Chicken Tortilla Soup II

Reviewed: May 4, 2012
This soup was incredible, really amazing. I didn't use the tortillas, but did add basmati rice while it was cooking. Added some Cholula hot sauce to my individual bowl as well as a small dollop of sour cream. So, so good.

Irish Bacon And Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2011
At one reviewer's suggestion, I sauteed onions & celery, and then browned the potatoes. I put the whole thing in the crock pot on high for 4 hours. Added more broth (1 cup of chicken stock, 1 cup of beef broth) even though I'd only used 1/2 head of savoy cabbage. This got RAVE reviews and is a definite keeper! (Added herbs de provence per our preference.)

Chicken French - Rochester, NY Style

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2011
My boyfriend is from the Rochester area & had been raving about Chicken French. (I'm from CA & had never heard of it.) Found this recipe and it was a HUGE hit with both of us!! I do think that slicing the breasts before breading would make it a little better, but it was absolutely delicious. Followed the recommendation of previous reviewers & doubled the amount of sauce. A WINNER!!

Ukrainian Red Borscht Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2011
SO good & always gets rave reviews. Even better the next day. I tried using turkey sausage, but it was tasteless. Used canned beets because it was easier, used nappa cabbage because it's sweeter. Other than that, made it as written, and it's fantastic!

Little French Fudge Cakes

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2011
Made this to bring to a friend's house for dinner. Baked them into small bundt cakes & served with powdered sugar on top & fresh raspberries on the side. HUGE hit! Tasted like brownies! Seems like it's going to be a heavy, rich cake, but it is light & delicious!

Best Marinara Sauce Yet

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2011
I've gotten compliments on this EVERY time I've made it. Great flavor, very easy to make. Someone said it's got an "old world taste" -- not that plastic, tasteless, commercial jarred sauce.
