I loved this, and am so glad I decided not to use the typical "tollhouse" cookie recipe this year. I added 3/4 C walnuts because I was making them for my dad for christmas, and he really wanted walnuts. He loves chewy, chocolatey, walnut cookies and I am sure he will love these. Like others have said, when you break the cookie in half you really CAN see layers of chocolate chips. I am sure for some 2C might be much for this recipe but I loved it! I made part of my recipe into 1 T dropped cookies which took about 15 min, and some I did 1/4 C which took about 20 min (I cooked until just brown around the edges and they "finished" on the cookie sheet to let them keep cooking on the inside some)... The big ones are much more impressive, and where you get the full effect of this recipe, but the smaller sized ones are delicious too. The big cookies are the one I will be giving as a gift though! This will definitely be my go to recipe from now on!
