Kettle Corn

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2002
It doesn't get any easier than this! I used to make homemade carmel corn, but this tasty sweet corn means I'll never have to go to all that trouble again. It was delicious.

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

This is a great, traditional chili. Easy to make with ingredients you'll have on hand. A sure winner every time I make it!

Camp Cornbread

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2005
Finally... I have been looking and looking for a recipe that would give me the kind of corn bread pudding type stuff my favortie Mexican restaurant serves and this is it! I made it exactly like the recipe stated and the only thing I would do differently is make it in a 8x8 or 9x9 pan so it's not so flat. Very easy and very tasty.. next time I might chop up a jalepeno as some other reviewers suggested. Thanks so much for sharing this DELICIOUS recipe!

Egg Salad Sandwiches

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2006
Good, but I made some changes based on the other reviews. Cut the mayo to 3/4 cup at least, used 2 tsp prepared mustard, and fresh onion chopped fine. Because it made so much, I took the leftover added it along with 2 tsp of pickle relish to 2 leftover baked potatoes that I chopped up. Made great potato salad!

I only had balsamic vinegar on hand so I used that and it was great!

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: May 15, 2006
Don't wait until you have leftover rice to make this! It's well worth making the rice just for this. Very good!

Apple Breakfast Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2006
This was so easy and so tasty. I did have to bake it quite a bit longer, but it might have been because I used a clay pot type loaf pan. I will be baking it again, for sure.

Crisp Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2007
This is the best cookie recipe that I've tried in years. I didn't have quite enough shortening so I put about a tablespoon of butter in with it, no problem. I lost control of the vanilla bottle when measuring and put probably twice as much in as I was supposed to, no problem. Didn't have quite enough white sugar so I topped it off with brown sugar, no problem. And best of all, I always forget the last batch that I put in the oven and end up ruining them, but these, even though they were pretty brown, they were still great! Unbelievable! I put chocolate chips in them, yummy. I can't wait to try some of the other suggested variations. You won't be disappointed with this recipe.

Scotch Shortbread Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
These were very tasty little cookies, very much like real Scottish Shortbread. The only thing that disappointed me at all was they did not freeze very well. They became rather dry and crumbly after being thawed out. So if you're looking for a cookie that freezes well, pass on this one. But if that's not an issue... then this is a keeper!

Dad's Spaghetti

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2008
Who knew you could throw together such a few ingredients and have such a tasty result. I made it pretty much as stated other than I used large elbow macaroni and I layered it into a baking dish with velveeta cheese and baked it for about 20 minutes. It will be a repeat, for sure!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
Very good recipe. The added brown sugar gives it just a touch of "something different" without really being sweet. This is my now my everytime meatloaf.

Slow-Cooked Pork Barbecue

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
Maybe I did something wrong but this just didn't come out as flavorful as I had hoped. It was good, but seemed to need a little punch to suit my tastes.

Chicken Piccata II

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2009
Delicious and easy. I would agree with the suggestions to brown/cook the chicken completely, remove it from the pan and then make the sauce in the same pan. This should help keep it more crispy.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
Perfect! I made this EXACTLY as stated and they came out fabulous! This will be my one and only recipe for those times when I find myself with over-ripe bananas on hand, or actually any time I'm craving banana muffins. Thanks so much for sharing.

Sloppy Joe Sandwiches

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2010
Very tasty and very easy but maybe just a bit sweet. I needed 20 servings so I used the "multiplier" to give me the quantities I would need and I wonder if maybe I wouldn't have needed that much brown sugar. Things don't always come out the same when multiplying recipes and next time I'll cut back a little bit on it. But I definitely will be making it again. Thanks for sharing!

No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

Reviewed: May 18, 2010
VERY easy and very tasty, that makes this just about perfect in my eyes. I always try to make a recipe exactly as stated the first time just to see what it is intended to be and then tweak it from there. I won't be doing any tweaking on this one. I read some suggested to reduce the butter but I didn't think it was needed. Just make sure to cook the oat, butter and sugar mixture as stated. I could see the butter being absorbed as it cooked. And the rich, buttery flavor these bars have is something you don't want to cut short. This will be my go to recipe when I need something quick and easy for that bake sale or treat day at work.
