Ham and Swiss Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2010
It was a nice change from chicken or beef. I used elbow pasta instead of egg noodle and cheated with cream of mushroom soup instead of egg and milk and vegatable oil. I also added in sweet peas. Was pretty easy to make.

Beignets

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2010
after much thought I am giving this two stars and I will explain why. the dough turned out really awful and had to use almost another 3 cups of flour to get it to do anything and then all I could do was pinch it off and drop it in the frying pan. well I finished frying them handed one to the hubby to taste and they were all doughy on the inside. :( so I reheated the oil split them in half and went about frying them all over again. got about 20 done and the smoke detector started going off. apparently my oil DIDNOT want to try again. and i don't think i do either at least with this recipe. i am not even going to tell ya'll about the mess thats now in the kitchen. the reason i gave it 2 stars were because the 10 that turned out right were good.

It was pretty easy to make but way too much cheese and not enough sauce. I am waiting for hubby to get home to eat so if it tastes really wonderful I will upgrade to 4. :)I did also add hamburger, onion and garlic. We just ate I am upgrading to 4. Thanks for the recipe.

Amish Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2010
I am only giving this a 3 which is the lowest of anything I have rated on here and I will explain why. The recipe was a bit unclear and maybe I am having a major off day. If I make it one more time and it works out I will gladly up my rating. The brown sugar seemed really strange too me and the way I read the recipe was mixing the tomatoe and chicken soup with the beef. Which now I know I read it wrong. I ended up just leaving it and added an extra can of Cr of Chik to the noodles...I only used 4 slices of cheese per layer which I also thought was a real hassle. Next time I try I think I will add some wocester sauce and just use cream of mushroom soup instead of the two others.

Warm Dijon Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2010
This was very good and easy. I tweaked mine heavily but I am picky so I won't penalize the poster for it so they got the 5 full stars. Here is what I did to mine. I doubled the Sauce, used Onion Powder insteaf of Onion. I also did not use anything crunchy and added a dollop of Worcestershire sauce. I cut my potaoes up then boiled them in water with a bit of Garlic Salt (we can never have too much Garlic.) for about 30 minutes. They were delish and thanks for posting this recipe. My DH and I really loved it.

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2010
I only gave it four stars I thought it was hard to make but then I have never made bread before. It took me 3x then I finally got it right. I had to cook it longer than the recipe called for at least another 30 minutes. But once I did get it right it really was delish and my husband loved it! So it got 4 stars instead of 3. I will try this again it should be easy now that I know what to do. :)

Easy Lasagna I

Reviewed: May 30, 2010
This lasagna was the best my husband and I have ever had. I did precook my noodles for about 5 minutes. Used 2 jars of pasta sauce as recommended by other reviewers and added in Sausage with the regular meat. I did add in Garlic and Oregeno aand also used Onion Powder as Onions irritate my eyes really bad. This was unbelivably good. Thank you for the recipe!

We loved this. The only difference was I sliced up my strawberries and added Cool whip over the entire pie. I am making this again for when hubby gets back from Japan. :)
