Isolde's German Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2013
So amazing, completely authentic! Don't be concerned if it seems watery, it will thicken. Also, I didn't use a springform pan, and it turned out fine. However I would suggest a springform pan. Don't listen to reviews of those that used cream cheese, Unfair to rate something poorly because you used completely different ingredients! Lastly, if there is not a German deli near you, these ingredients can be purchased from ; also if you are feeling adventurous - make your own quark cheese!

Algerian Flafla (Bell Pepper Salad)

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2011
I thought this was devine except I would use more than 1 tablespoon olive oil I just poured it in by eye, and we LOVE the floavor of EVOO so- that would be my only suggestion, therwise I followed this to a T and it was a delishious side to our roasted chicken and white wine :)

Classic Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2011
We did this recipe exactly except we used regular milk, and it turned out fine. The only suggestion I would make for future times would be to use 1/4 cup more milk because we found the batter to be very thick, However it could have been because we used whole wheat flower :) overall, great recipe

Spinach Cheese Phyllo Squares

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2011
gave 5 stars , but for the version that is not low-fat.. same ingredients but chose the original versions, not the low fat option. I did this low fat also, but it just wasnt perfect. However, I would totally recommend this!

Carrot, Potato, and Cabbage Soup

we're a vegetarian family so we used vegetable broth, and it turned out very nice, also we did not blend. I think I will try it blended next time though :)

Brunswick Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
I loved this recipe but I did make a few changes to make it more of a quick meal, I used canned beans, tomatoes and carrots, and I used rotisserie chicken meat, but since I did not cook the chicken down and have a broth we added a half of cup of cream of chicken and this was AMAZING! and it took 10 mintues top to cook. basically just waited for potatoes and onions to cook down since we used fresh ones not canned. AWESOME quick version!

Cucumber Sandwiches

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2010
this was excellent! I made this once as directed and once with italian seasoning. It works quite well both ways! My 6 year old loves this as lunchbox sammie, and I often use a cookie cutter to cut the sammies into cute little shapes!

Eggless Tofu Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2010
This was excellent! I used mozarella instead of swiss, and I blended the spinach with the tofu and milk in the first step, so my 3 year old would eat it, and it was a huge hit in our house! also I put a light layer of cheese on top, it is a quick & easy delicious recipe!
