Made some changes: 1. Just oiled a cookie sheet (instead of 1/2c oil in a pan) 2. Added some Lawrys instead of regular salt to the flour mixture 3. Used breadcrumbs I'd been saving in the freezer and not Italian seasoning. 4. Used a bag for the flour and then the same bag for the bread crumbs. Very good!!!

Alsatian Chocolate Balls

this is a great recipe and these were fantastic. i made them for the french club's table at international day at my university and they were a hit. i even bought some of my own cookies, they were so good. instead of chilling the dough for one hour, i let it sit overnight so i could do the rest of the steps the following day. i used slivered almonds & ground them in my coffee grinder but i have seen ground almonds in baking sections at some stores. i used ghiradelli unsweetened cocoa (bar form) cut it up into small pieces and put it in the coffee grinder. a must try! very easy if you can take the time for the steps.

Whole Wheat Honey Bread

i made modifications like others had suggested after the first loaf didnt turn out so well... the second time, -used butter instead of shortening -used 1/8c milk and decreased water to 1c -used molasses instead of honey (thats what i had on hand) -proofed yeast first and kept it away from the salt very good, simple healthy bread!

Flax and Sunflower Seed Bread

i made this last night and it was fantastic. modifications: -i missed the beep and didnt add the sunflower seeds -used ground flaxseed -used 1T honey, 2T molasses -proofed the yeast first in the (warm) water & honey very very good!!!

Chicken with Rice

this recipe took preparation but was not too much to handle. the chicken i used turned out a bit dry and my friends were afraid of the amount of onions used and when served said 'why didnt you tell us you were making spanish rice?' -- but it was delicious. i was in love.

Watermelon Vodka Slush

id cut up a watermelon (with small white seeds) and stored it in the freezer in 4 c servings, so this recipe was perfect for me. save that watermelon in the freezer for this recipe and have a declicious summery drink any night. :)

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

this recipe was absolutely delicious. i didnt have any problems w the listed measurements as other people did, and cooking time varied depending on the size of my cookies. they were still soft and chewy even if i baked a batch a little too long. :) excellent!
