ME AND MY FAMILY
RED VELVET CAKE III
About this Cook
I'm a mother of two, both girls one 18 and one 8, yep started all over and would not have it any other way.
My favorite things to cook
I favor southern dishes, love anything with a roux, while my girls love anything Italian...pasta and cheese.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have to admit, I was not raised on traditions, my mom was a terrible cook? I had to learn on my own and I'm still learning. We like to cook things together as a family so from time to time that's what we'll do we all participate some kind of way. My youngest one loves to help I'm thinking she might be a good cook when she is older.
My cooking triumphs
Anything I can get my youngest to eat is a triumph to me. The older finally started to try different things.
My cooking tragedies
I always have tragedies, i want so bad for my girls to be proud and brag on my cooking but very seldom does that happen....We have a saying, instead of "my mom is a great cook" it's "my mom sure does try"...LOL

Super-Simple Bacon, Spinach, and Artichoke Dip
Very Simple if you are looking for a fast dip, I even used bacon bits instead of messing with the bacon to make the process more speedier, we all really enjoyed. Dip can be made the night before, regrigerate and bake the next day, serves alot!

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches
Mouth Watering just thinking about this...I used a cheaper piece of meat as others suggested and I used Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ Sauce. Can't get any easier, we ate this on PoBoy Bread.
