Basil and Pesto Hummus

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2012
I had a huge amount of fresh basil from my herb garden, so I thought I'd try this out. So glad I did! Wonderful flavor!

Very yummy! We put this on a grilled chicken and havarti sandwich on toasted ciabatta bread. So good!

Sour Cream Waffles

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2012
I was looking for a waffle recipe without milk (we were out) and found this delicious mix! I did make just a couple of changes. As I didn't have plain yogurt, I used a lemon cream pie Yoplait yogurt and it was phenomonal. I also added in a splash of vanilla and a splash of almond extract. Superb!

Kentucky Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2012
Super easy! Even my husband, who doesn't usually like tomato soup, said it was tasty. The only things I changed were: 1) I left out the carrots, as I didn't have any on hand; and 2) I used a 1/4 cup sour cream and 1/4 cup garlic cooking cream cheese instead of heavy cream. It was wonderful!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough + Cupcake = The BEST Cupcake. Ever.

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2011
This is my absolute favorite cupcake recipe! How can you beat gooey cookie dough inside a warm cupcake? I make these at least once a month! Perfection!

Double Chocolate Brownie Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2011
This is a delicious cake recipe. The only thing I changed was the yogurt. I did not have plain yogurt on hand, so I used a container of Yoplait Boston Creme Pie flavored yogurt. It was amazing!

I made this pie after getting GALLONS of fresh strawberries from the local Amish community. My husband and neighbors loved this recipe!

Coconut Orange Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2011
I love the light orange flavor of these cupcakes. I did make a few small changes. I pureed the mandarin oranges in a food processor before mixing them into the batter. I also frosted them with the cream cheese frosting II recipe from this site, since my friend doesn't like coconut. They tasted like creamsicles!

Spritz Orange Crisps

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
This recipe was wonderful! The orange flavor is very light; not too powerful. I only baked them for 8 minutes instead of 10 and they were melt-in-your-mouth perfect! Will definitely use this again!

What a tasty recipe! The batter is a great base for any berry. I usually change something about a recipe, but this one was perfect as is! Love it!

Penne a la Vodka II

Oh, wow. So delicious! I used fresh basil from my herb garden and it really made it pop! We also added chopped bacon, because, let's face it, everything's better with bacon. :)

Watermelon and Strawberry Lemonade

Great flavor, but the watermelon did make it a bit pulpy. Will try straining the drink next time!

Very good, but I felt that it needed something else. We added balsalmic vinegar and it was delish!

Rosemary Garlic Rub

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2012
Good base recipe...DO NOT use that much salt! I actually have now made this rub using no salt at all. You really don't need it, as the rosemary and the garlic add great flavor.

Cream Cheese Spritz

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
I started out following the recipe exactly, but that didn't work out for me. The dough was very crumbly and dry, and wouldn't stick together. I ended up adding another egg yolk and another 1/2 cup of shortening to moisten it up. I also added 1/2 cup of brown sugar. Once I made those changes, the dough was great and had a good flavor. I don't know what went wrong in the first place.
