About this Cook
As my screen name suggests, I'm a stay at home dad caring for our two year old twins while my wife works full time in NYC. Neither my wife or I are gourmet chefs and before the kids were born we spent most of our time eating out or ordering in. Now that I'm home and the twins are turning into little people who now of course eat real food, I decided I better start to learn to do something in the room that houses that large gadget with the four burners. Very happy I found this site and I'm looking forward to experimenting. Should be an interesting journey!
My favorite things to cook
Haven't cooked enough to know yet!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My wife and I don't have any cooking traditions as of yet, but now that we have these two little ones we're hoping to start so the kids will grow up with some fond memories.
My cooking triumphs
I made something that was actually edible!
My cooking tragedies
Until I found this site, everyday in the kitchen was a tragedy.

Rempel Family Meatloaf
I tried this meatloaf thinking it would be a lot like a good cheese burger and it was! I loved it. My wife enjoyed it but not as much as I. My twins not at all. They love cheese so I thought they would like it but Dad struck out. The recipe didn't. I'll make it again and just plan on something else for the kids.

Hot Dog Men
I gave my two year olds the giggles with these and once my daughter got over the fact that no, dressing your hot dog up in doll clothes is not allowed, she and her brother had a great time eating them for lunch today.

Baked Bean Sandwiches
Michelle, we too have been eating this for years and it truly is surprisingly good! The only thing my mother taught me to do is precook my bacon and once the muffins come out of the oven just criss cross it on top.
