Tangy Apple Chicken Loaf

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2014
I was more than skeptical of a chicken loaf. I really enjoy your more traditional meatloaf. But in an effort for my rear not to look like I really enjoy traditional meatloaf I tried this recipe. I followed it pretty much to the T with the exceptions that I had ground turkey (the really lean kind) on hand and I only had a pound of it. I adjusted the rest of the amounts accordingly. I have to say I loved it! My husband did as well. This will be a regular for us.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2013
Pretty good chili. I have made it twice now. My husband really enjoys it. I didn't have any tobasco the second time so I used sriracha. I found that to be better. Also I add a tablespoon or so of powdered cocoa.

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2013
This was easy to make pie. It was not too sweet or too tart. I made this for my friends birthday at her request for a lemon meringue pie and she loved it.

Granny Kat's Pumpkin Roll

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2012
This is the recipe my Aunt Carol uses. She hands down makes the best pumkin roll. I never made it as hers are so good. However when you move 500 miles away you have to rethink some things. I have made this recipe as stated several times. Just take your time and remember to use a fair amount of powdered sugar on your towels. It is a family favorite! By the way these rolls freeze wonderfully.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2012
I have to say I was surprized at the high star rating. I found the dip to be extremely bland. I was kinda sad as I had high hopes...maybe I had bad jalapenos.

Crown Roast of Pork with Sausage Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2011
This was fabulous. We had it for Christmas dinner this year. I used bread cubes for the stuffing. The sauce/gravy is awsome. Make extra, my family wanted the gravy on everything!

This was very easy to make. I used frozen blueberries as I didn't have fresh. I also used a little extra lemon zest. These are great. My husband says "excellent"

This is super easy and makes the fluffiest pancakes ever. My husband really enjoyed them. As he is really a large kid he wanted chocolate chips in the pancakes and they were awsome.

Apple Fritters

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2010
I thought the fritters were easy to make and fluffed up nicely. I did thing they were a bit bland despite adding cinnamon. I will probably make these again adding more cinnamon and some nutmeg. PS I grew up in Springdale...
