I omitted the meat. This soup is a nutritional powerhouse with a wealth of antioxidants! Don't forget the sour cream!

Homemade Ginger Ale

This tastes just like store bought when you first taste it, but then the strong ginger taste kicks in. Delicious!

Marinated Tofu

i liked this. I used about half of the soy sauce with water. The seasame seeds are key - they add a delicious texture! I used black sesame seeds.

Baked Kale Chips

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2010
WOW- these were surprisingly good! They were easy to make too. I ate some right out of the oven and I put the rest in a tupperware container and they were still good two days later. You might try putting the fresh kale in a bowl and tossing them with olive oil and salt in the bowl instead of trying to drizzle it over when the kale is on the cookie sheet. I added some fresh ground pepper to mine and it was delicious!

Italian Kale

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2010
This was great! Very easy to make. I used red kale (the curly kind) and I didn't have any balsamic, so i substituted red wine vinegar and it was still good. I think balsamic would be better though. A delicious, simple way to prepare a very healthy veggie - awesome!

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies IX

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
Delicious recipe and easy to make. I left the first sheet in for about 14 minutes and they look beautiful, but are a little well done. Next sheet I left in for about 12 minutes and that seemed about right. The cookies are very soft when they first come out of the oven. I had to let them cool on the tray for a while before transferring to cooling racks. I halved the recipe and came out with 18 cookies. I love how the recipe uses vegetable oil instead of butter or margarine.
