Cheesy Macaroni and Hamburger Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2013
Forget the kids, WE adults loved this recipe...lol We didn't use american cheese slices tho, but used a pound of Cheddar shredded cheese. Also, try some sauteed onions instead of garlic powder. We could eat this at least twice a week!

WOW! So easy and yet so tasty!! I'm getting ready to make it again for New Years, because everyone asked for it. Can a dish be any EASIER than this is?

Mom's Traditional Creamed Onions

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2005
Very little taste to me. Tasted like milk with onions dropped in it. YUK! I might try it again tho, but with a LOT LESS milk...just enough to give it some body, and I may use cream instead of milk, and add chives or something else. All in all....didn't like it.

Pistachio Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2003
UGH. Soupy isn't the word for it. It was terrible!! IF, you use dry pudding mix, and apples instead of the pineapple, or at LEAST take the syrup off the pineapple, it will be better. I tried it again, doing that, and it was eatable, but I'll never try it again.

Chocolate Pound Cake III

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2003
The very BEST Chocolate pound cake I have EVER ate. Everyone raved about it, and wanted the recipe. It was so good, I told them that it was a secret, and I'm keeping it for myself!!!! ******This cake will be heavy - very heavy. If you think it isn't done, it probably is. Since I posted that last great review, I've fixed it three more times. Twice it didn't come out the way it should, but the other time it was perfect. Why the difference? Everything was EXACTLY the same. So....it appears it is a very fickle cake, but very good. The 2 x it didn't come out right, it was still scarfed down within two days.

Anytime Fruit Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2001
JUST A FEW NOTES. I LEFT THE PINEAPPLES OUT ALTOGETHER. I USED MINI MARSHMELLOWS, AND I USED A LITTLE MORE JELLO. MAKE DOUBLY SURE YOU DRAIN ALL THE JUICE OUT OF THE ORANGES, OR WILL GET TO RUNNY. WITH THE LEFTOVER JELLO FROM THE SECOND PACK, SPRINKLE IT OVER THE TOP JUST BEFORE YOU SERVE IT. THIS WENT OVER SO WELL AT A DINNER I HAD, THAT I HAVE BEEN ASKED TO FIX IT EVERY TIME AFTER THAT.

Baked Spaghetti Corn

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2001
Baked this again, after several years. PERFECT. hints**.....do not use as much margarine, do not drain the corn, cook spaghetti about half down BEFORE mixing it all together, use and extra cup of CHEESE..preferably something with a little kick, like extra sharp cheddar, and MAKE SURE you stir all the spaghetti into it every so often so none of it comes up to the top, sticks out, and turns into a spear to bite on. It WILL stay soft if you make sure it stays submerged. Great recipe!
