Almond Macaroons I

I have not even tried this recipe and I don't even know if it is good but I find it too funny that people think coconut makes a "true Macaroon" the very first Macaroon was almond NOT coconut! Good Luck!

Make Ahead Pie Crusts

I looked at this and was a bit taken back and then I read the reviews. I am horrified and offend to the Author of this submission by the 2 or 3 moron's who had the audacity to rate and comment of a recipe they had not even tried. I too have a master in Culinary Arts from a well know and well rated top Culinary School. There is NOTHING wrong with this recipe. After reading the mostly 5 Star reviews I am bound and determined to make it as soon as humanly possible. Shame on you few that are so ignorant. Thank you to our submitter it looks as it you helped a lot of people!

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

This is one of the first if not the first time I have posted a review for a recipe. It was so Unbelievably good I couldn't help but comment. First off I almost always make a recipe exactly as written the first time. I will alter per my family's personal tastes. I used diced red onion because that is what I had and I added 1/2 C. Cheddar to my sauce. As predicted it took 2 1/2 hours to cook properly. I knew it would from experience with potatoes. I don't mind the extra time involved but next time might go with the suggestion from earlier views. Personally I think it needed a lot more salt or salt like seasonings. That is something that can be added at the table as peoples salt preference varies so much. Wonderful recipe review worthy!

Angel Food Cake I

This is the single best Angle cake I have ever eaten or made! All you have to do it follow the directions. This is the first recipe I have taken from this site that I didn't want to add my own twist. I see the other reviews and yes you should never let any yolk get into your whites, they simply won't work. Don't over beat. I have made this cake about 10 times in 2 months and the last time I made I left it on the KitcheAid for too long and it was way to dense. When made correctly it is light and airy.

Mini Cheesecakes III

Never gave any recipe 5 starts before. Love Cheesecake but much like everyone else who wants to spend 6 Hours making a whole big Cheesecake for just me? So I set out to find the best mini cheesecake recipe and I have 100% found it! First off I too went through dozens of other recipes only to come to this one because of the crust. I have nothing bad to say about the vanilla wafers because I have never tried them. To Graham Cracker Crust is 1 of the best things about cheesecake. As for the lemon zest and juice. I did not use it simply because I did not have it. I have seen that addition of zest on many cheesecake recipes along the way. There is a technical benefit but what that is exactly escapes me right now. I did exactly what the instruction said to and they were PERFECT! Look, Taste, Consistency everything could not have been better. Tip** After you spoon in the GC Crust take a metal or even plastic measuring cup (smallest you have 1/4 C. Maybe)and use that to press down. That will ensure an even crust every time. I have made it many times since that first time and have tried all kinds of toppings. Mostly the pie fillings i.e. Cherry, Blueberry or Strawberry. Anything you see on your favorite cheesecake you can put on these. Lastly Please do everyone a favor and use the foil liners. They not only look so nice they make for a much easier clean up. P.S. I had to double the recipe because I just couldn't see making only 6....

Cream Puffs

I made this last night and they were AMAZING! I followed the instruction exactly but did add a dash of vanilla. Also I took everyone suggestions i.e. poking a hole with a toothpick and leaving in shut off/open oven for an hour. I am not sure if it was needed but I didn't want to take a chance and let me tell you they looked as if they should be on the cover of a magazine. They tasted even better. Here is my suggestion: I chose not to use the filling (but I am thinking I might next time) I use Ice Cream and hot fudge. OMG So good! Also don't put un-used puffs in an air tight container. I did and the once crispy puffs turned into a soggy mess. I think it might be becasue they were a tad warm still but tonight when I make them for the family again I am NOT putting them in anything air tight!

Glorious Sponge Cake

This cake is PERFECT!!!! The users that had problems must had made error some where. I followed the directions EXACTLY with just one minor adjustment. I used vanilla instead of Lemon.... I just prefer it. It looked and tasted amazing. Please don't try to change it because you think you know better. Like most other users it only took 45 min. in my oven. Kudos....
