Sausage Jalapeno Poppers

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
Yeaaa these were pretty awesome! Took the advice of others and pre-cooked the bacon so it could be cooked all the way through with the finished product. Lots of time and love goes into making these, but they are awesome! YUM.

Italian Sausage, Peppers, and Onions

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
Followed the recipe to a "T" and made it with venison italian sausage. YUMMY! This went into a pasta bake that night. The next couple of days we had sandwiches with them topped with melted mozzarella and provolone!

Amazing, amazing, amazing. I loved the browned butter spooned over top and gave it such richness. It was a perfect medium rare and so tender. Hubby kept going on about how awesome the filet turned out. Loved this so much!!

Fabulous Beef Tenderloin

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
I made this last night with a 2.5 lb venison tenderloin. It was SO tender, juicy, and wonderful! We didn't need knives to cut it once I had sliced it for our plates. My hubby just loved it. So easy to make, a definite keeper.

Egg Noodles

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
These were fabulous! So easy to make in my kitchenaid mixer with the dough hook. I boiled them in 3 cans of beef broth w/ 1/2 cup heavy cream and they were so tender and amazing!! Didn't need anything else to flavor them.

Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2010
This tasted amazing! I did do sausage in place of bacon, but next time I will try bacon. I made this for a brunch for my husband and his mom and his mom's husband. Everyone would not stop complimenting it! We only had to small servings left from the 9x13 pan. Wow! This is one of my favorite breakfast casseroles ever. Everything was perfect together and there wasn't too much of anything. Just perfect!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
Fantastic!! I made it with ground deer in place of the beef b/c my husband killed his first deer of the season last week. You couldn't even tell the difference. Love to see a great recipe from Indiana with such high reviews. I knew I had to try it. Fabulous!

Tiramisu II

This is soooo good!!! Let it sit in the fridge 2-3 days before you intend to serve it. Make sure you use really strong coffee and double if not triple the coffee/rum mixture. This is THE BEST!!!!

Tortellini Bacon Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2010
This is awesome! I made it this past weekend for our annual Indy 500 party. I hate coleslaw, and just like other reviews said, with the coleslaw dressing, this is superb! I added diced red onions instead of green and this was gone really, really quickly!! A keeper for sure!

Fresh Strawberry Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: May 27, 2010
This was delicious!! I made fresh whipped cream to go along with it and my husband said it was amazing!!! I did let cool in the pan longer than 15 minutes because when I ran my knife around the edges I could still see liquid and was afraid the strawberry mixture would fall out everywhere if I flipped it. It probably cooled for 45 minutes or so...I had the time lol. Then went straight to refrigerator to chill! YUMMY

Southwestern-Flavored Ground Beef or Turkey for Tacos & Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2010
This recipe is serioulsy amazing!! It is way better than any taco seasoning packet you could buy at a store. The flavors in the this go perfectly together and taste wonderful. I made this with ground deer meat and it turned out better than I could have thought. Sometimes with deer meat, you can still taste the gamey-ness in it, but this disguised it very well! My husband and I just raved about the taste through our entire meal!! We made burritos with this meat!! Bought huge tortillas, shredded mexican cheese, and I made some pico de gallo from a recipe on here, and stuffed it into a burrito with this meat and it was to die for! Just like going to a mexican restaurant!! 5 stars all the way!

Chef John's Perfect Prime Rib

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2013
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!! As many other reviewers, I was also nervous. I did however keep a meat thermometer in it while in the oven....one that has a cord to outside the oven so you can read the temp! And I let it get to 120 and took it out of the oven. So it was rare, instead of medium rare. Served it with his recipe for au jus! YUM!!! Prime rib is at a local grocer now due to Easter. I will be going back and getting another to make this recipe again! AWESOME! And I did find Herbs du Provence too! YAY! Everyone loved it!!! It is foolproof!!!

Absolutely Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: May 19, 2010
This recipe is great! I omitted the bacon, simply because a guest that was over doesn't like it. So I used butter in place of. The guests and the hubs LOVED it. They all got seconds, and asked for the recipe. What I loved particularly about this recipe, is that you boiled the cubes and didn't have to use pre-baked potatoes!
