Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2011
Made this for Valentine's Day. I took the other reviewers' suggestions and seared my filet prior to grilling. I used the pan that I had sear the filet in to make the reduction sauce. I also added about 3 cloves of garlic and doubled the recipe. My husband had a fit. He asked me if I had more of the sauce to put on his asperagus. It was well worth the effort and will make this again.

Garlic Chicken with Orzo Noodles

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2010
This recipe was really good. I added diced yellow onion when I sauted the garlic and red pepper flakes and deglazed the pan using a small amount of chicken stock. I also used frozen spinach versus fresh. It still turned out really wonderful. Both my husband and my dad (who can be really picky) ate every bite and told me how good this was. We added this recipe to the keeper pile and will definantly fix again.

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2010
This broccoli salad was fantastic. I made it for a Super Bowl party and fixed it the day before. The salad was excellent and I got rave reviews. The only changes I made to the recipe was to use low fat mayo and I added 1/2 a tsp more sugar as I like my broccoli salad sweeter. It was excellent and I will fix again.

Football Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
I made this cheeseball for our SuperBowl party because I too thought a football shaped cheeseball would add some fun. I followed the recipe exactly except I reduced the taco seasonings to 4 tsp and I rolled it in pecans. I rolled it in pecans because it did not have the color I was looking for, but the pecans added some nice crunch to the cheese spread. As far as taste, I thought it was good, but not exceptional. I will probably take the shaping idea of the football and use a different cheeseball recipe next time.
