Glazed Dijon Carrots

Very yummy! The glaze is a good balance of sweet and savory. The ginger isn't a very strong taste (which I liked) but if you're looking for something more ginger-y I'd add a bit more powdered ginger or use fresh grated ginger.

Fluffy Biscuits

Very yummy biscuits. They rise beautifully every time, are fluffy on the inside, and crisp on the outside. The recipe as it's written comes out amazingly, but I make mine with 1/2 unsalted butter, 1/2 shortening to give them a bit more flavor.

Slow Cooker Chicken Cacciatore

This just came out too bland for me. I couldn't quite put my finger on what this was lacking. I might try adding a few more spices (more garlic, some italian seasoning, and maybe a bay leaf or two).

Best Brownies

Very good basic brownie recipe. They come out nice and fudgy. The trick to getting fudgier as opposed to more cake-like brownies is to mix the batter by hand - not with a stand or hand mixer. If you use a mixer then it beats the eggs too much and adds in too much air. It's best to mix it up the old fashioned way in a bowl with a wooden spoon.

Mocha Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

They are delicious, but lose a star because they don't taste like coffee at all. If you are expecting mocha, you'll need to increase the amount of coffee in the recipe.

Greek Chicken Pasta

Very tangy. I followed the recipe almost exactly, except I used canned diced tomatoes instead of fresh ones since that's what I had in the pantry. I also used marinated artichoke hearts - so they may have added a bit more flavor to the meal. Overall it's super tasty. I'll be making this again!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Very good. I added some white chocolate chips as well. I, unfortunately, did not read the other reviews before jumping into this recipe. My cookies came out a little flat, so chilling it before hand should help (since I used butter). Great flavor though!!

Curried Coconut Chicken

Buttery Soft Pretzels

They puff up quite a bit as they're baking, so make sure you fold them a bit larger than a regular pretzel shape so they have room to expand. Very tasty, though!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Delicious! As per several reviewers' recommendation, I skipped out on the beer and used chicken broth instead. I also added garlic because I'm a huge garlic fan. It was so easy. I put all the ingredients in the crock pot before class and came home to delicious soup. :)

Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti

These turned out great! I would recommend adding the orange zest (I did for 1/2 of mine and I like them better). I also dipped them in white chocolate. They came out nice and crispy, but not too dry like some commercially produced biscotti. I will definitely be making these again!

Homesteader Cornbread

It's a good basic cornbread recipe. Mine came out moist on the inside and a little crispy on the outside - perfect. The flavor is good, but a little lacking. Next time I'll probably use some honey and buttermilk to add a little extra flavor.

Italian Sausage Soup with Tortellini

Mom's Zucchini Bread

This recipe makes amazing zucchini bread. Mine came out super soft and moist on the inside and slightly crunchy on the outside. The taste is wonderful! I followed the recipe exactly and love it, although there is plenty of room to add ingredients that you want (like raisins or chocolate chips). Great recipe
