About Me

Everyone in my family cooks! We always had a home cooked meal from mom and weekend breakfasts from dad. And the best was grandpa's Sunday dinners after church! Now, my younger brother is a professional pastry chef and I'm a mom who loves to cook for her family as well!

My favorite things to cook
There are tons of great local foods here in the Ypsi/Ann Arbor area! I love to try new vegetables that are in season from the farmer's markets. My favorites change as I try new recipes. Currently, we love home made pizza, chicken with avocado salsa and polenta with goat cheese, tomatoes and Swiss chard.

My favorite family cooking traditions
I love my mom's Christmas cookies. She makes dozens and dozens but my favorite will always be the spritz Christmas trees with sprinkles as ornaments!!
